Hi all, thanks for liking my apartment! Here are some additional details to answer some common questions!

Yes my bed (almost) touches three walls. No I don’t have a dresser. Most of my storage is under the couch.
My rent is $1850/month. I’ve been there going on three years, it’s gone up $50, yes I know that can afford a small castle in most places
Here is the switch dock mounted below the TV (with command hooks):

That is a plaster wall without studs, I hung the tv with this guy and it’s very stable:

I made the coffee table:

The adjustable standing desk is a Varidesk Prodesk 36. It’s overpriced but unique in that it’s a 2’x3’ as opposed to 3’x4’:

The table and chairs (as well as the couch and rug) are from IKEA:

I have a 40" TV hung on one of these, it works great and a no brainer to install.

Highly recommend buying bed risers and stuffing as much stuff under your bed as possible. Wall mount your TV if you can, rather than using a TV stand. This mount doesn't even require using your wall's studs. Don't ever utter the word knick-knacks again - get rid of them! Get rid of as much crap as possible. The more you minimize the more natural it feels.

Agree here. I pushed my bed in the corner of my room when I was 12 so it feels very.. young.. right now.
I would center the head of the bed on the wall the bed is currently "longways" against and mount the TV across from it. As a woman I swear by this mount: Hangman Products S-2040A No Stud TV Hanger Mount TVs up to 55-Inch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FXPJJ0Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_BPYPDbQQ3DRZ2 because it's SO easy to hang.
Agree also with the suggestion to coordinate a color scheme.
My buddy has this one that uses these tiny nails but lots of them. It was the only kind he could use in the apartment he lives in. I was skeptical at first but after seeing it installed I think it works great. Not sure if it would work for your situation but here it is. Link to product.
You could mount the tv. I got a tv mount thats great for apartments requires no bolts in the wall and is only $20. I have it on my 32" and it works great. Easy install too. Just food for thought
Can I mount a 40" TV in my Nike dorm with something like hangman and then fill in the couple nail holes when I leave?
