Short answer: Yes you can, but it wouldn't be accurate for no scoping. Better for quick scoping than anything. No scopes are very, very inaccurate.
You might want to check this out if you are interested in "drawing a line". It's a lot easier to remove from your screen than a marker. I haven't tried it myself, but I have heard good things from it.

Sorry to be a party pooper, this game uses the exact center of the screen for the point of impact (just like 99% of other 3rd person shooters) and people have learned a simple "trick" to help with target acquisition. This "trick" is to put a red dot on the TV or monitor with sharpie, shit there are products you can buy and **monitors with BUILT IN CROSSHAIR OVERLAYS that are hotkeyed and hardware side so the games (and recorded video) cant prevent them and they don't show when recorded.

Yeah that's definitely way better for people who want some sort of 'pep' to their game, who wouldn't want people to ingest healthier stuff in general! It's still not something I would buy, but my video gaming supplement is copious amounts of weed, and that's good enough for me.
