that is a floor lamp who's top shade thing broke during a move. I put in one of these cool remote controlled bulbs. My Fiancee has been doing a lot of "bottle cutting" using this method for candle holders for our wedding. Once she does a nicer bottle, I'll replace the BT!
I can't believe people actually funded this. You can do the same shit with Arduino, Ikea Dioders or this: http://www.amazon.com/HitLights-BLUE-MOON-Changing-Upgraded-Function/dp/B006RJRBY6/ref=pd_cp_hi_1
I like how that guy is charging $69 per bulb. He probably wrote $69 instead of $70 because most people will think that a price in the 60s is a lot more cheaper. If it said $70 then people think "oh this is too much!".
Still can't believe this got funded so much.
my thought exactly... this guy isn't reinventing the lightbulb. http://www.amazon.com/HitLights-BLUE-MOON-Changing-Upgraded-Function/dp/B006RJRBY6/ref=pd_cp_hi_1 DER DER
This project is neither amazing, nor brilliant... once you really think about it.
What does this thing do?
The clapper beat them to it 30 years ago.
Clapper does that too.
Wow, that's actually cool. And I'm not being sarcastic. But it's cool for like... a day. Then you leave it on the same color all the time. Also Amazon beat them to that, for 20 bucks a bulb
Yeah... so does my phone. And, now I might be crazy, my phone is always on me. Seriously- did you not think it was weird in the video that the light flashed and he picked up his phone that was a foot away?
Even IF your empty driveway wasn't a giveaway, these do that for 1/10 of the price
tl;dr It's an okay idea, but $70 a bulb is insulting.
