Actually, it's not available on Steam or as a Digital Download for that matter. As far as I know, you can only get it off of Amazon for $10.

I have heard rumors of a remake though, which would be cool

The homeworld Franchise is a great RTS group of games in space that has the best storyline of any game that I have ever seen. It also runs on like, potatoes, so your pc should be able to handle it with no problem.
