Looking at those carpet pictures, I'd buy a cleaner from Amazon for sub-$200 (like this one that I have: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013YPWE6) and clean the bejebus out of it. The job won't take you more than a few hours and you end up with clean carpet and a cleaner for next time.
I have this one, so $175. Not too bad! My cost per use is down to about $30 bucks at this point.
