Anyway, according to what you requested, you want a toaster/oven/copier/scanner 30in1 for the price of 100$.
That means an inkjet. Low-end consumer grade inkjet, one that will break beyond fixing, will have expensive cartridges. Every printer will jam, mostly user error - like incorrect settings.

What I myself would buy if I ever buy an inkjet will be HP X series.

It's a real bang for the buck with insanely good speed, prints quite well. At 2400 x 1200, while not the best photo quality - I am sure its more than enough for you.
In the case you buy an inkjet, you have to print atleast once a week so the ink doesnt dry out and your printhead doesnt clog.
Aside from that, those 100$ MFP 30 in 1 are low quality with expensive ink, altho the first one costs a bit more on other places and is worthy, I still wouldn't recommend an inkjet at any low price.
I have the HP 8620, and it has never given me any problems. works with AirPrint on iOS and has drivers available to make work with Android as well. it's the best solution I've found yet.
