This is the one i learned to fly on, its a ton of fun http://www.amazon.com/Hubsan-Channel-2-4GHz-Copter-Camera/dp/B00P79ZQIA/ref=sr_1_5?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1456868902&sr=1-5&keywords=Hubsan+x4
If you want to learn how to fly drones, start with one that doesn't have FPV. This way you'll know how to fly it if your monitor goes out.
I recently got the "UDI U818A". It's a great learner, easy to fly and takes crashes well. It's around 16 inches diagonally, so a little big for indoors. That's never stopped me though. You can get one on Amazon for around $50 usd.
A smaller option is the "Hubsan X4". I haven't flown this particular quad, but I'm probably going to order one this week. It has great reviews, and is only about 6 inches across diagonally. Great for indoors. Again, Amazon has them for around
$50$30 usd.I suggest starting with one of these. Get good, then move up to something more expensive with FPV.
Edit: Links and such
UDI U818A $49.23 + Free Shipping
Hubsan X4 H107L (no camera) $33.95
Hubsan X4 H107C (camera) $29.99 + Free Shipping
Do some digging and look for deals. You may be able to find cheaper prices. I got my U818A for $28 + Free Shipping on a Lightning Deal.
If I'm not mistaken, That is the Hubsan X4.

Cupid :3
I'm getting my boyfriend a Quad Copter with camera!. It looks like a fun toy and I can't wait to go to the park and fly it around :3.
Just a heads up there are some people pushing for a ban on drones in New York. I don't know the legality of flying in Central Park, but I would probably avoid it.
Also, if you are new to flying I would pick up a hubsan to learn with. They make one that takes video as well, but the quality is marginal. It's much better to crash one of those than a several hundred dollar quad.
Thanks for your interest!
I'm hoping to sometime get another pair of goggles and a Blade QX FPV (I already have the normal Nano QX and I love it).
I've been flying this one:
Syma X5C 2.4G 6 Axis Gyro HD Camera RC Quadcopter with 2.0MP Camera https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MNG37C2/ref=cm_sw_r_taa_Tx.syb287M52H
And this was my first one (this is just a newer version) :

Great learner quads to master how the controls work on most drones. Gets your mind set for steering while the drone is facing random directions.
Hey buddy! Okay I have a super easy solution, and it happens to be the most practical and money-conscious thing to do:
Buy yourself a toy-quality quad. Either a Hubsan or a Syma. They've got good range, good hover time, fully functional, and have a camera. You can crash both of them repeatedly, and you'll learn everything you need to. Then, it'll make your next decision super easy. You'll know all the pros and cons yourself.
You want one of these cheapo quads to get all the bad habits out of the way before investing and spending money
I recommend the hubsan x4. I learned on it and it's one of the best small drones for the money.
I was looking at this one as a beginner
Not sure if I can sync this one up with my phone however.
Hubsan X4 (H107C)
this is a good cheap drone to lean flying. Get some extra 500mAh batteries with it. You get only 3-4 min on a stock battery and 4-5 min on a 500mAh.
Hi i just got an x4 also, it arrives friday! i got this one, is there any mods that i can do to this in the future, like FPV with that camera? you seem to know what youre doing!
