Used Book in Good Condition
Actually looks like the distal end, the condyles on the femur are located further from the skull than is the femoral head. It actually could still be the distal end of a humerus as well if not for the large tuberosity on the anterior distal shaft of the bone (which would be absent on the femur as well). Both the fumur and the humerus have those condyles (less distinct epicondyles on the humerus) so the comic still makes sense. If you want some more info on how to properly identify and side bones I recommend Bass as valuable resource. Not sure if you used that in your paleoanthropology classes.
