Solar powered flashlights do, in fact, exist.
There are: https://www.amazon.com/Hybrid-Powered-Flashlight-Emergency-Battery/dp/B001NTT45Y
Solar powered flashlights aren't super practical though because the sun usually isn't out when you need a flashlight.
Here's a bunch of mostly solar heating stuff.
Sorry if any links are dead. They include links to purchasable items I narrowed down by value for the price.
Some links are other sustainable living stuff.

If you are looking for solar powered emergency lighting, there are a number of options that are far superior to this thing. It seems gimmicky to me.
One of the quickest and cheapest options is available on Amazon and at a number of other places.
I'm invested in number of these cuties, NMH aa batteries for regular flashlights, and a couple of LED [Cree] flashlights powered by 18650 lithium-ion batteries with wall, vehicle, and solar chargers.
But there are a fair number of emergency items that are more important than lighting that could be attended to first.

Not shitty if it has a battery. Here you go...
They actually make those. Whodathunk?

I think that's an idea that's just not going to work out.
Then again, solar powered flashlights used to be a joke.
Well, about that solar powered flashlight!
