My husband and I conceived through IVF, though we used our own gametes. I planned on telling our children from a young age. My son has a baby book with a special section on IVF, and he has several children's books on the subject. I've bought several, but I think the best one I've come across is I Can't Wait to Meet You. It explains the IVF process in a way that children can understand. You could easily explain that you used donor gametes while reading it to them.
