I carry a Chromebook Plus, 2.4 lbs. Charges with a regular usb charger plus a micro usb to usb-c adapter. I use a 2-port 4.8a brick.

Battery lasts for 6-12 hours, depending on if I'm using chrouton, browsing, or using it as a reference. Charges in 4 hours with the 2.4a port.

It weighs 2.6 lbs for the charger, the computer and the charging cable.

I have also carried a 15" MBP (4.5lbs+.7lbs) and MSI GS30 ghost (2.8lbs+.5lbs). I prefer the chromebook by a wide margin from a packing perspective. It's very compact, and I don't have to worry about a charger. It easily fits in most bags. For getting heavier work done, the MBP wins due to its great trackpad and beefier specs... but it requires a bigger bag with more support, which adds to the weight, too.

For web, photo editing and light linux work the chromebook is perfect. The pen input is also amazing.

Plugging a dashcam into a usb slot on a computer will always result in it being recognized as a 'mass storage device' and throwing up a blue screen.

It's always a good idea to have a usb wall adapter handy so that you can plug it into the wall outlet. Something like this:

One of these would work fine and a lot cheaper than the Apple. if you need or want USB-C to charge something else they also make chargers with both.

Prices fluctuate

i had a problem where both my phones would never charge in my car and the batteries would slowly drain to the point where i was plugged in at all times and the battery percentage would decrease instead of increase. to combat that issue i got this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QTE09SY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

i recommend two. one for car and the other for home.

i use that in my car to keep both my phones charging at all times and it keeps me 85% or higher at all times and now i never lose battery percentage anymore unless i'm shopping then they quickly go back to 100% once i'm back in the car.

buy yourself a DC to AC converter aswell to use in the car. if you only have one phone i suggest the one port version if you want to save a few bucks otherwise the second port comes in handy for a friend or spouse to charge quickly. make sure it says 2.4A (most chargers use 1.8A)

well that makes sense. The 24 watt chargers I was talking about are These guys, and if you do the math, that's about 2.4 A per device, which is about what the apple ipad charge blocks output. So I use a 2.4A charge and it can very slowwwwly charge my shield while I am gamestreaming, I would imagine all that a .8A powerblock would do is make your battery last longer, but you would still net-loose power overall under load.

SANDISK Cruzer Glide Flash Drive 64GB USB 2.0 (via Target) worked for me without power mod or hub. I had it filled to about 32GB. I can't confirm if it works when filled past 32GB.

SanDisk 128GB Ultra Fit USB 3.1 Flash Drive - SDCZ430-128G-G46 (via Amazon) worked for me (without power mod or hub) when filled to about 32GB but stopped working when I added a ton of new games to it. Sorry, I'm not sure at what capacity it stopped working. I did the power mod on port #2 and now everything works flawlessly with this drive. I did not try it with a powered hub before doing the power mod.

In both of these cases, I'm running PSC Retroboot (standalone). I've never run Autobleem or Bleemsync.

Edit: Also, I'm using this 5V 2.4A power supply.

I've been using the iClever 24w and it has worked well.

The USB port on the charging brick is not overly powerful. There have been a lot of people who have had trouble charging their phones with it over the years, especially larger phones. I've never heard of having to replace the battery for this.

Easy fix? Maybe not what you'd like but if the charger still works on the SP3 alone something like this plus this.

Honestly, when I travel, I carry the RavPower one for my bigger devices and [this two port 4.8V@2A charger for everything else] (https://www.amazon.com/iClever-BoostCube-Charger-Technology-Foldable/dp/B00QTE09SY/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1549458866&sr=8-4&keywords=iclever+charger). It's about the same size as the standard Apple iPad charger, but with the two ports, it allows me to charge two devices at once.

Also, sometimes I mix it up if I have my Anker battery pack, depending on what my travel entails.

I like having options!

I just bought this one EasyAcc Monster 20000mAh Power Bank and one of these iClever BoostCube 4.8A 24W Dual USB Travel Wall Charger.

The power bank has 2 inputs for recharging the battery pack, and with the wall charger I bought with it, it can be completely recharged in about 6 hours instead of the typical 10-12 hours a 20,000 mAh battery pack normally takes.

Also the output is up to 2.4A per port up to 4.8A total. Meaning that you could charge 2 devices simultaneously at 2.4A each, or 4 devices simultaneously at 1.2A each. Assuming your devices can accept a 2.4A input, but if not the power bank will automatically limit the output to whatever your device can handle.

I've had this for 8 months now and have been very happy with it

It's a little bigger than an iPad charger so not too compact but does the job well
