Used Book in Good Condition
A good number of people at my church live in intentional community, and I am hoping to begin one in the near future as well. The core elders of my church actually wrote a book about their own experiences in community, if you're interested.

My own experiences are rather limited, but I have seen it work for others... and I have seen it not work for others, too. From my standpoint as an observer, it appears to be pretty important to have some kind of shared mission-- even if it's not completely identical for everyone in the house, there should be a bit of overlap so that you have something to strive for together.
On top of that, there must be a lot of GRACE, and willingness to COMPROMISE and make things work for everyone. Selfishness kills communities, and it's not a pretty sight.
