I wouldn't say "avoid" books and sites, they are good learning sources, just be weary of things that you learn. But a books I would highly, highly recommend is the 5 Love Languages, it talks about the different ways people actually feel appreciated. It has helped me a lot in my relationship. Another book I would recommend if you want a more technical scientific approach on relationships Intimate Relationships. It is a psychology text book and it also covers briefly things like friendship, parents, etc etc. Those two books have been a backbone for my relationship with my Fiancee. Also, maybe look into Myers Briggs, that can help you tons with other people.

They are actually true. Its shocking isn't it? You'd HOPE those numbers are made up. Of course, the media doesn't want this to come out. They like stories of bigotry and fighting the man.

They come from a lot of studies done since the 60s in sociology and biology as well as literature studies (for the culture of homosexuality). I learned about it from this gender studies text book if you are interested. Also 80% of gay couples have one or more members cheating on the other.
