Alright, everyone keeps telling you to be careful, which I guess you already know, i'm going to give you the benefit of a doubt and say that maybe you cracked it once by accident, it happens, and the second time was because your phone screen was already weak from being replaced... I'll say it's no fault except bad luck. Shit happens.

My recommendation is just bite the bullet on spending a little more than you want to for phone protection, it will save so you much money in the long run. Screens are $200 - $300 dollars to replace, when you can just spend $75 now and protect it. So here's what i think will help.

  • Get a case
  • The one that is most reccomended after me spending DAYS going through threads and looking for solid cases is the Spigen Neo Hybrid ($13.99). Slim case with actual protection.

  • Get a screen protector
  • Also through my research is that the TG (Tempered Glass) protectors are all awful except for the Whitestone Dome ($44.99). Is a hard pill to swallow but it's the only glass that fits well, no reduction in sensitivity, and has full screen adhesive to keep from having those ugly rings around the edge of your screen or having those black bars. I reccommend this because you seem to crack your phone, rather than scratch it, this may save your screen a ton.

  • If you reeeallyy don't want to swallow the $50 then most people just go with a wet applied film to just help from scratches and possibly a minor crack. Most people settle for the IQ Shield LIQuid Skin ($7.85). It's just a skin but it may save you in the end.

  • Get a stand
  • It will keep your phone more secure on your desk rather than having to deal with knocking it off when reaching for your glasses. Any cheap stand can work. I went with the Econstyle Stand ($7.99) because it's easy to move from my side table by my bed, to my desk by my compute. Just some extra security and ca keep your phone from getting any scratches from laying it face first on a hard surface.

  • If you want to get a little luxury you could always get Samsungs Fast Charging Wireless Charger ($39.99) which has a stand included so you just set your phone down and it's charging, but that's just extra luxuries and isn't necessary.

So you could spend a bit for some extra security that will save you time in the long run, or you can keep risking dropping your phone and breaking it. I bit the bullet and got the case, TG and stand and I haven't looked back. I actually dropped my phone first few days after having it, but thanks to my TG the damage was only there and it saved my screen completely.

Get the IQ Shield, hands down best screen protector. It's cheap (about $8) for a 2 pack, lifetime warranty, I actually requested a replacement because there was a tiny little spot on the top left corner of my device where I couldn't squeegee out the bubbles or whatever, it was super tiny but I was OCD about it so I asked them to send me another one and they did and it was super fast. Anyways the screen protector is super easy to install, keep in mind that this was my first time using a liquid applied screen protector. As long as you follow the videos instructions that they provide on YouTube then your screen protector will be applied without any issues. Mines dried pretty quickly and the sides or the edge sticked down pretty nicely. It's case friendly too so it worked with all my cases. Plus no dust or lint can get underneath. The thing I love about this screen protector compared to tempered glass is that when you squeegee out the water during the installation process, it removed all the dirt or lint that gets underneath so your end result looks absolutely fantastic. Also it's not as finger print smudgey as I thought it would be and it feels really smooth like an actual glass. Plus the film is pretty thin so it won't be sticking up and it'll be hard for anyone to tell whether there's a screen protector on it or not.

I use the IQSheild and is slick and slippery and not tacky or sticky feeling which I like. My first S8+ (before I broke it 2 months after launch) had the oleophobic coating wear off in 2 strips across the screen from the seam of my dress pants pocket and bottom hem of my boxers. So I put that screen protector on my replacement the instant I got it and it's lasted 8 months now. It is a wet install and the first I've ever done, but it did not peel up on the edges at all with the case I have. Only downside, and it's a very small one to me is it has a slightly textured surface that looks a bit odd only if held at weird angle.

I had the same problem with my Spigen NeoHybrid case and the Yootech protectors. Someone else in here recommended IQ Shield and it has been working well for me ever since, with maybe about a 1mm gap between the case and the protector.

I ordered and have been using this liquidskin protector for a few months. Galaxy S8 Plus Screen Protector (Not Glass), IQ Shield LiQuidSkin Full Coverage Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus (2-Pack,Case Friendly) HD Clear Anti-Bubble Film https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y1HY64V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_vIPNzbK53CFTJ

Was skeptical at first. It was weird putting it on with a solution then letting it dry, and it had a quidhy texture.

But after a few months of use, I forget it's even on. No blemishes on it (I assumed it would be easy to scratch since it's not glass), and I don't even notice a difference in feel anymore. I got used to it super fast. And it's only eight bucks.

I've got a similar looking case on my S8 plus and use this. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y1HY64V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_n8rAC9NrL5kzu

I am using this one with a case (spigen neo hybrid) and its working pretty well. They sell single packs as well, just make sure its the case friendly version.

Carrying around an expensive peice of hardware like this bare would give me all kinds of anxiety lol. I use this case and it feels fantastic. Not only does it give extra grip it also provides extra protection to the edge screen without hindering functionality. I also have it coupled with this screen protector and it fits amazingly with the case (plus it was super easy to install).

I use this. Been 3 months since I've had it and there's no peeling like some reviews state.

One think to keep in mind is that this is a softer screen protector (So it forms to the edges). It's not that stiff yet flexible plastic you'd get for screens with that are flat. That being said you will get some marks due to keys, scratches, coins, etc. Doesn't bother me since I'd need to hold it to the light to see them + screen off.

I used IQ Shield for some of my other products and haven't had an issue.

They basically seem like the same. 2 screen protectors, liquid application, lifetime warranty, same price. Pretty cheap so if it ends up not working out you can just return it to Amazon with no hassle.
