I prefer using the Irwin Speedbor Max in lieu of old-school spade bits in most cases. They drill faster and cleaner, and clear chips better. IRWIN Tools SPEEDBOR Max Speed Wood Drill Bit Set, 3-Piece (3041003) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000LQ9054/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_aAm.Bb9B64KC8
A Hole Hawg is way overkill for 3/4" holes, and they can be dangerous if not used properly. They have a reputation for breaking arms and throwing people off scaffolds with their torque.
I would buy a normal Milwaukee right-angle drill and save $100 off a Hole Hawg, then use the Irwin self feeding bits. You'll have these holes all drilled in less time than it took me to write this comment.
