Could maybe be that surge of carbs you are giving your body. Some people just can't handle the sugars involved and have to eat a strict candida diet, this could be no different. Consider not doing the cheat days? Sounds not worth it to your body.
Also, I swear by this probiotic after battling YI/BV/pH imbalance. Must be the kept cold version, NOT the shelf stable.

I should preface this by saying that I've never had BV, but my midwife raved about Jarrow Fem-Dophilus probiotics for vaginal health since I'm pregnant. I've been taking these for the past couple months, and they seem to do their job. While reading the reviews, I noticed that a lot of women who suffered from BV had really good results while taking these.

Not that you asked, but I was getting a lot of UTIs at one point, and they stopped when I started taking Fem-dophilus Probiotics. My 96yo aunt also had good luck with it.
