Justice. Also Alex Ross art through and through, and I found it to be an amazing story with the Justice League, Legion of Doom, and the Doom Patrol.

Justice, I believe.

Once you have read Kingdom Come and basked in its glory. I strongly suggest "Justice" as a future read.

Justice is amazing. They just released all 12 books in one

I might have to go read it again.

For her to appreciate why you love them you should share the stories that make you love them. You are there to fill in any knowledge gaps.

Also understand that she may not like what you like.

Personally I think Justice is a good start, self contained, beautiful art, Superman, Justice League and Green Lantern all present. https://www.amazon.com/Justice-Jim-Krueger/dp/1401235263

Very true! I will keep that in mind. Also people just starting the DC Universe, I give them Justice to learn heroes and villains plus it has awesome Golden Age moments.

Can anyone recommend Justice? Having just read kingdom come recently also im interested in more JL stuff. The trade is a bit on the pricey side so im wondering is it worth it? Mainly for the story as I would assume ross' art is top notch as usual.

Justice League is a fun comic. I started with the New 52 series, this one to be precise. I'm only up to issue two, but I'd say its definitely a good place to start. Other than that, I found this a really awesome read. and you can never go wrong with Grant Morrisons take on things. All good books to get stuck into!

DC all the way. I like the darker tone to the books. Marvel comes off as happy and guided more towards kids (Just my opinion, I know about the darker Marvel comics) Plus, DC has way better villains IMO. I mean, c'mon, Batman's villains alone beat out Marvel's entire history of villians. My favorite comic book writer (Besides Brian Vaughan) is Jeff Loeb, who writes my favorite Batman books. My favorite artist does the BEST DAMN JUSTICE LEAGUE ART IN THE WORLD! My favorite hero, obviously is Batman. Favorite villain is Scarecrow, because, he's scary and believable (source: bad drugs at Bonnaroo are bad).

I don't know too many people here, but I know /u/browniebiznatch loves DC too! Why not add /u/Kaemii for hosting this, and /u/LizziPizzo because Batman!

  • /u/browniebiznatch - The Brown Bomber, with the amazing powers to stop time! (but every time he does he shits himself)
  • /u/Kaemii - The Green SuperBat - Just a big green fruit bat that beats up giant evil fruit and eats them.
  • /u/LizziPizzo - The Dis-qualifier - When evil shows it's face... He fucking shoots it!

The two books I linked I haven't read yet, so, pick one of those if I read.

Well Marvels was drawn by Alex Ross; which is what draws a lot of people in and his big work for DC was Kingdom Come; which is a very popular, classic story and they also did a Absolute Kingdom Come which looks and feels really nice, but believe they are out of print so might be hard to find a Absolute for a decent price for Kingdom Come. Alex Ross also did one called [Justice](http://www.amazon.com/Justice-Jim-Krueger/dp/1401235263/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&sr=1-1&qid=1408555869](http://www.amazon.com/Justice-Jim-Krueger/dp/1401235263/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&sr=1-1&qid=1408555869) that is pretty popular and has a few different versions, TP, HC, and Absolute, so can choose whichever one is in your price range.
