i bought https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001HA6KOC/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'd would probably recommend one that doesn't adjust since the "legos" that make up the leg can be wobbly since they only just fit together.

This is the exact one that I have. If you search amazon for "monitor riser" you'll find a lot of other options as well. These ones are really nice for keeping things under and also hiding wires.

Take a look at some monitor stands:

I have a Quik Lok Z-555 with a few accessories (speaker stands, rack mount, monitor shelf, mixer). It was a bit expensive but it's held up through several moves over approx 15 years, and it's pretty quick to assemble / disassemble. http://www.quiklok.com/catalog/?p=productsMore&iProduct=190&sName=Z-555

I just recently bought 3 of these stands. They're the cheapest ones I could find on Amazon but they're perfect. I set my first "row" of gear directly on the table, then subsequent rows on these stands, angled up (I just made the back legs longer). Cable clutter, hubs, and thru boxes are hidden underneath (with lots of velcro cable ties ). http://www.amazon.com/Kantek-Single-Height-Adjustable-Monitor-MS400/dp/B001HA6KOC

I don't have a good picture of my whole setup but this is basically what the desktop looks like with some gear angled on the Kantek stands. http://imgur.com/KJ5HIvo

Are you able to use monitor stands? I work on the PC all day too, and recently bought two of these to put my monitors on.

I've been looking into options for raising the tv to accommodate a center speaker. Right now I'm using an adjustable monitor stand which just barely fits my center underneath. It seems the best option is going with a "universal tv stand" which installs in your VESA mount system. Many of these offer height adjustment to raise your tv enough to fit a center underneath.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm interested in that for $20. My big-ass TV is sitting on this rn

Think I could buff out some of those scratches with a polisher or sander? Can you tell if it's veneer or paint?

This one is also pretty cheap.
