Perhaps as much as half of the challenge of a jigsaw puzzle is in differentiating the piece you "need" from the vast quantity of pieces to select from (or the proper location of the piece you have selected, depending on your perspective or strategy).
The larger the haystack - the more challenging the needle.
Packaging separate puzzle areas into separate containers - from the factory - reduces that difficulty exponentially.

It's been done, the puzzle itself is a classic among enthusiasts. Did you break all the bags and mix the pieces together or did you do it in sections? Either way that's an awesome time.
If you haven't glued it together yet, 'puzzle glue' is just PVC glue and water. Do it all at the same time cause two individually glued sections tend to not fit perfectly.

If you want to go even bigger, you may need to contact someone with woodworking skills and tools personally, as I doubt there are many companies who will make it. Most people rarely do puzzles bigger than 1,000 pieces, and it would be even rarer to want a custom image on such a large puzzle.

No, actually not. Sorry, mate. I haven't tried it neither. But this would be such a great present. My SO is vicious with puzzles. Even this dozens of Dalmatians puzzle with the same background she did in almost no time. link... It's frustrating to challenge her without reverting to this one... behold....
