I've tried LG, Kiku emulsion, Cezanne and Dr Jart ceramidin Liquid. They are all light but moisturizing, but get the job done. Never tried Cerave though, so can't compare. But they all should be lighter then Cerave oitment for sure.
Vanicream - despite coming in a tub and having promising looking ingredients - is totally inadequate for this. I've had really good luck w/ Kikumasamune Sake Skin Cream, as well as LRP Cicaplast, and just straight up jojoba oil.

This is the link to the cream I'm using. I typically mix it with a watery toner; currently I mix it with the Pyunkang Yul essence toner to thin it out a bit. It feels super heavy, but it sinks in really well for me. I haven't quite tested it through harsh winters because i just moved to the North East, but it did a good job through winter in California and after AHA. Like if my skin was feeling tender/dry, I use it, and the next day my skin's fine again.
