Killers of the Flower Moon The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI
There's also a new book out about it - Killers of the Flower Moon.
A book about it came out recently and we're witnessing the press push for it: https://www.amazon.com/Killers-Flower-Moon-Osage-Murders/dp/0385534248/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1496430551&sr=8-1&keywords=osage
"Killers of the Flower Moon" by David Grann. Without revealing much, it's about crimes committed on a Native American reservation, but the second title of the book, "The Osage Murders and The Birth of the FBI" should help entice readers.
Edit: spelling
For a compelling historical murder mystery, I highly recommend Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann. Available on Audible here. Slate review here.
A new one that has been getting a lot of positive feedback is Killers of the Flower Moon. It is part true crime, part history of the FBI.
interesting, the fbi rose to power in part from their investigation of serial killings of the osage indians. https://www.amazon.com/Killers-Flower-Moon-Osage-Murders/dp/0385534248
