> That's a non-issue. You'd want to change the standard Dualtron folding handlebar to Xtasy anyway because it's not that good. Xtasy has way more space for gadgets and better locking mechanism. Dualtron 3 comes with Xtech brakes which suck as well - I know that because I had them on my Spider for a while. Fully hydraulic Magura is what you want - the installation is a pain in the balls, but in the end it's worth it, everyone who did it will confirm that. Thunder comes with Nutt hydraulic brakes, but Magura blows it out of the water.

Honestly, it's almost like you're trying to talk me out of buying another scooter at all. ;-)

> It's not. There's a reason why all Dualtrons (except X, my guess is rubber doesn't scale to it's size well) come with rubber suspension - it's really good. I had my reservations about it before I received my Spider, but 9 months and counting now - the suspension is excellent, like it was made for me.

Have you ridden a Speedway V or similar? I had what looks to be the same (single) rear "A5" shock on my Darknight and it seemed pretty good. Definitely superior to the undampend springs it had on the forks.

> Better build quality

Do you have any specific examples? Same motors, tires and wheels as the D3, same controller as the Spider presumably, same throttle, same brakes as the Spider, better folding mechanism than either of the Dualtrons.

> More maintenance friendly

The Speedway V has the same tires and wheels, with apparently the same motors. The deck looks easy enough to get at. Do you have any specific reasons for saying this?

> Better clearance

I'm mostly worried about scraping the deck over speed bumps in parking lots. At low speed. But that's probably actually a non-issue now that I think about it.

> Better quality batteries - LG or Panasonic cells

It's really not important to me. IF I ever had issues with the pack, which would have to be more defect related than cycle-life, replacing a battery pack really isn't that prohibitive. Two new motors can cost just as much. I've seen people on here claim that the battery is half the price, but that just isn't the case unless you're paying for reseller profits. Hit up Alibaba and look for 16s9p packs. Even LG doesn't hit that mark. The Sincpower batteries are rated for ≥ 1000 cycles at 100% DoD at 0.5C. That's about 56,000 miles (at 25Wh/mi) at a continuous ~700W. If I need to replace a pack to get another couple years out of a scooter that's 1) Easy, and 2) Still cheaper than buying a more expensive scooter.

> More mod friendly and more 3rd party parts available

Besides the $18 handlebar bag I've got, and maybe upgrading the brakes at some point, I'm not really interested.
