From what I can tell, there's absolutely no difference between this and a regular USB bluetooth dongle, like the one I bought from Amazon. Works perfectly with the DS4, and is cheaper.

Also works with any other bluetooth device I want to connect to my PC, like an Xbone controller, or my phone.

u/rerunx5 · 7 pointsr/PS4

I use Kinivo BTD-400 Bluetooth 4.0 USB adapter which works well using my PS4 controller and Wiimote on Windows 8.1

You can make the PS4 controller act as a Xbox 360 controller for X-input games (that don't support D-input) like Super Meat Boy and others using DS4Windows or DS4 To XInput Wrapper

Found directions on pairing it and using xinput wrapper: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2EBCN3CPRF4MM/ref=cm_cr_dp_cmt?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B007Q45EF4&nodeID=541966&store=pc#wasThisHelpful

Anyone recommend a bluetooth device so I could connect a wiimote to my pc?

Would something like this work?

u/yourwhiteshadow · 5 pointsr/buildapcsales

I think the steam controller dongle is RF. in any case, the kinivo BTD-400 works well or you can get the ASUS USB-BT400. in my experience though, these really only work well if you're withing 3-5 ft.

u/MoogleMan3 · 4 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

Yeah, no problems at all.

My setup is windows 10 64 home and I connect the controller with a kinivo bluetooth adapter. Pairing with windows was easy.

Also, a helpful hint when you're done gaming, a single press of the sync button on the pro controller turns it off.

I have windows 10 and this adapter works perfectly with it. This adapter really has great range too. So comfy on my couch using my ds4 controller wirelessly playing on pc.

There's also one by playstation that you could check out but they're kind of expensive.

u/starseed42 · 3 pointsr/emulation

I use this, and it works great.

u/reepha · 3 pointsr/computers

This or this should work fine. I have used the cheaper one for a couple years and has worked fine for my uses (wii remotes, ps3 controllers, file transfers to my phone.)

u/yaroto98 · 2 pointsr/buildapc

I got this one and it's great

  • PS1 Classic Edition, Switch, Windows, macOS
  • Android TV box, Raspberry Pi, Retrofreak

    Right from their site.

You likely didn't assign the controller in game controller settings within the control panel from the sound of it..?

And ICYMI the retro receiver only connects 1 controller per actual receiver, to use 2 controllers you need 2.. or you could buy a BT 4.0 dongle that will work with 4 controllers for PC with DS4Windows & call it a day.
u/Roxas-The-Nobody · 2 pointsr/playstation

Yeah, $40 is cool, but why does Sony always make their USB's in this length?

I have a Kinivo BUS that's perfect.

And then my PS Pulse has Sony's USB and it's an eyesore.

*besides, most prebuilt computers and laptops have Bluetooth. You wouldn't even need the USB.

I use this one on Windows 10 and haven't had any issues with it.

I'm having trouble with this bluetooth dongle and this wireless keyboard. I basically have repeating numbers, intermittent disconnects and extreme lag, varying in seriousness based on which ports I plug my bluetooth dongle into

Here's my build below, and I'm using this wireless mouse and this monitor. Any thoughts on trouble shooting? Should I return the dongle and keyboard and get something better quality?

EDIT: I should mention that I reinstalled the dongle drivers already, but I am not sure if the keyboard even has drivers.

Best Bluetooth Adapter for PS4 Controller? I already have a USB Dongle. I'm looking to upgrade it so i stop getting over 10ms Lantancy. Was thinking maybe getting a PCIe adapter? Just curious on master Race's option.

u/docHoliday17 · 2 pointsr/buildapc

This is going to sound incredibly rude, but it's really just curiosity: why are you running a socket 2011 mobo?

that aside, i don't believe the make combo cards for desktops(at least i couldnt find one). I usually use just a bluetooth usb dongle. the one im looking at ordering is this one from amazon.

as for wifi, i've been rocking this bad boy and i get solid speeds from two floors about my router.

You could also look into a 802.11ac compatible card if you want to future proof yourself, but unless you plan on upgrading your wireless infrastructure any time soon it isn't really worth the extra cost right now.

u/captaintoasty · 2 pointsr/GuitarHero

I've gotten mine to work very well, save for the whammy bar. I'd recommend getting a USB Bluetooth receiver (I have a built in MOBO Bluetooth receiver but it didn't work). This is the one that I got.

  1. Once you've got your Bluetooth receiver, download and install the appropriate drivers for it. In my case I think I just used Lenovo's Bluetooth drivers but yours may be different depending what receiver you get.

  2. Get XPadder (it's only $10) and place it somewhere you can easily access it; I have it in Documents.

  3. Press the PS4 + Share buttons at the same time to reset the controller. The white light should be blinking rapidly.

  4. Open your Bluetooth settings. I'm running Windows 10 so it might look a little different, but you should be able to turn on Bluetooth if it's not already on.

  5. Press and hold the Sync button for ~10 seconds on the controller right next to the D-Pad. Your controller should pop up at this point and you can click Pair. The white light will stay on at this point. If it doesn't pop up, try restarting your computer or reinstalling the drivers. Make sure the drivers are the correct ones for your Bluetooth receiver (unless they're all just generic drivers, I'm unsure).

  6. Open up XPadder and, assuming your controller is connected properly, it should look like this minus the keys and arrow buttons. If it looks like this then your controller isn't being recognized.

  7. From here just click where my image says PDP Rock Band Guitar, yours might be different, and just start pressing all the buttons on the controller to have them recognized. Whammy won't work as far as I know.

  8. Close out of that window and just click the buttons to assign a specific key press. This will correlate with whatever your keyboard settings for GH3 are. You can follow my layout or choose your own.

  9. When launching GH3, just make sure that XPadder is actually on and that your controller is being recognized properly. During the loading screens for GH3 use your keyboard to get to the main menu, then you can use your controller after that. If you use your controller from the start, GH3 will default to thinking that's the main controller when technically with XPadder you're just supplementing your keyboard with the controller.

    Hope that helps! :)

Hi all,

Couldn't find anything online to help me here. I have two switch pro controllers and I'd like to connect them both to my desktop pc at the same time.

I have a few of these adapters:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Q45EF4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_DDSdBbR4HK556

One adapter detects one controller and it works fine in steam. But my computer will not allow my to use more than one of those adapters at the same time, and each adapter will only detect one of the same device at one time.

I'm really not wanting to go for any wired options.

Any Bluetooth troubleshooting advice or links to other Bluetooth adapters that support two of the same device would be awesome. Thanks!

u/163941 · 2 pointsr/pcgaming

I have had good luck with the Kinivo BTD-400 adapter on Windows 8.1

I'm just using the driver that Windows Update downloaded for it, and have not had any connection issues at all.

The DualShock 4 driver I use is DS4Windows.

A lot of people with connection issues seem to be running older versions of Windows so I wonder if 7 just doesn't handle Bluetooth 4.0 that well.

The Kinivo adapter uses a Broadcom BCM20702 Bluetooth 4.0 chipset. I don't know if that's any different from the ASUS one.

Hey since I'm sure you're used to using a PS4 controller why not do that instead of buying a new controller?

Download DS4 tool from here http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-InputMapper-fully-utilize-your-DS4-in-Windows

It's pretty easy to set up.

If you want to play wirelessly buy this http://www.amazon.com/Kinivo-BTD-400-Bluetooth-4-0-adapter/dp/B007Q45EF4.

Its a Bluetooth dongle.

Keep in mind that bluetooth adapters seem to be very hit-or-miss. I've looked through about 20-30, and all are that way, it seems.

u/vergingalactic · 2 pointsr/pcgaming

Surprisingly not. USB micro B is kinda shit and even if it is stable it is extremely prone to being hit just by using the controller.

In addition, latency is far lower over bluetooth, like 1-1.5 ms vs 10-15 ms.

Just make sure that the bluetooth antenna is not directly plugged into a USB port on the case. A USB extender cable made the connection go from requiring line of sight to being usable in another room 20 feet away.

The tiny dongles like this one I use are great: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Q45EF4/ref=psdc_3015437011_t5_B009ZIILLI

I bought the Xbox One controller and it broke in under a week. I've always had issues with Xbox controllers, usually with the analog sticks, they just don't last. The Xbox One controller's left analog stick starting clicking in on it's own just by moving it around. The 360 analog sticks always become too loose over time, and honestly not even that long. Anyways, I took it back and replaced it with a DS4, it's really awesome. I personally don't have issues with games not working, works with everything 360 controllers work with for me. The touch pad works as a basic mouse which is really awesome since some games have launchers which require a mouse.

I use this to make it work: http://dsdcs.com/index.php/portfolio/software-development/4-ds4windows

It can also work wirelessly as well. For that I use this: http://www.amazon.com/Kinivo-BTD-400-Bluetooth-4-0-adapter/dp/B007Q45EF4/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top/189-0025011-1806710

I got a bluetooth 8BitDo controller (SNES30). I was able to pair it with this bluetooth dongle:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Q45EF4?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00

However, for some reason the buttons would work but the d-pad wasn't responsive. I haven't taken the time to troubleshoot that. Also, I was able to pair it via Retropie's setup stuff, but as soon as I rebooted the Retropie it was no longer paired. I'm not sure how to get it to just automatically pair as soon as you turn on the retropie. Nor do I know how to turn off and on the controller, to ensure the battery doesn't drain when I'm not using it.

At the moment I'm just using it with the USB cable it came with, which works fine. If anyone has any ideas how to fix the above problems I'm all ears. I'm sure there are solutions, I just haven't bothered to look into them yet.

Overall though in terms of quality, the SNES30 seems to be a great controller.

How does this compare to the Kinivo BTD-400 Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adapter.

I have that one and it drops bluetooth connection all the time.

u/mistical · 1 pointr/AskTechnology

That's more just a description of what that area is for/what you'll find in there to control. So no, I'm going to say you don't have it. If you want to post your exact ASUS laptop model so we can find out for you, you can, however from everything you've pointed out and tried already, it's still probably going to be a no.

Here's a Bluetooth 4.0 USB adapter for $11.99 off Amazon. I personally have one of these and have bought these for others and they work just great on Windows 10.

They all seem to be the same thing but just rebranded. No idea how reliable they can be, but they’re cheap. If I had to pick one, I would go with the Asus adaptor linked below since it's a well known company. It's also the most expensive adaptor though:

Steam definitely supports multiple controllers. I'm not positive on DS4Windows. You will only be using one or the other, most likely Steam. They both do the same things, either map the buttons to a virtual 360 controller and/or keyboard & mouse. Just keep in mind with two controllers you have to emulate the 360 controller (steam allows setting this up as a per-game basis). How you would use multiple DS4 controllers is exactly how you would use multiple Steam controllers. Basically, you cannot use profiles that emulate KBM with multiple controllers, but the games supporting splitscreen or multiple controllers anyways you won't be emulating the KBM so it won't be an issue. Also as for number of PS4 controllers, this is determined by if you use a generic Bluetooth dongle or the official PS4 dongle. The official PS4 dongle only allows 1 controller, but gives you the ability to use the 3.5mm audio jack and gives less latency. Bluetooth adapters depending on the quality can allow many more than 1, but typically have more latency and don't work with the audio jack. I will be grabbing the official dongle for my room personally because I want the audio jack and if I have friends over it will be in the basement with the Steam Link I'm going to be grabbing soon. Now, I'm not sure if you can have multiple dongles to allow for multiple controllers but that can certainly get expensive. I would recommend you use a generic Bluetooth adapter if you want to use multiple controllers. Here's the one I use with my PS3 controller: https://www.amazon.com/Kinivo-BTD-400-Bluetooth-4-0-USB/dp/B007Q45EF4

You might need a USB extension cord for that one, because my recliner is too far from my TV I had latency issues. It needed to be like 3 feet away from me to not experience any latency. It might be the adapter is crap, but its the one a lot of people recommended to me. This is also another reason why I'm just going to get the official dongle.

EDIT: Forgot to mention the DS4 has gyro, which is a major advantage over Xbox controllers.

u/RainbowGoddamnDash · 1 pointr/patientgamers

IIRC, there were certain brands that would work better with the DS4/DS3.

Like this one worked perfectly for me until my ps4 controller died

But now you can just get one of these from Sony themselves

u/iAmAddicted2R_ddit · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Absolutely.

For your controller needs, if you want to use a DualShock4, DS3, Wii U Pro Controller or WiiMote, all you need is a mini Bluetooth dongle and a driver such as DS4Windows (google "[controller] driver windows"). With the proper driver they should be supported under most games, but they might require a button mapping tool to work with some stuff (we can help you with that).

If you want to go the easy route and have a controller supported by most games with no driver configuration as soon as you plug it in, an Xbone controller is your choice. However, it will require a special M$ dongle to work wirelessly, and be warned that this dongle only works under Windows 10. Alternately, if you can live with some inferior design features, you can get a 360 controller (which still works with nearly all controller games) and its corresponding dongle, which has the added benefit of working with all Windows's back to XP. However, be aware that both of these controllers require AA batteries rather than the rechargeable packs found in DualShock/Nintendo. You can buy a rechargeable pack for Xbox controllers but it obviously costs extra.

All of the aforementioned controllers will also work over USB with any operating system.

Now to the second part of your question. I assume that you mean you want to play on your TV–this can be accomplished one of two ways and is easy to setup. The first and most obvious way is to simply keep your PC in your entertainment center and hook it to your TV over HDMI, in much the same way that you would your PS4. Steam's Big Picture mode tries to emulate the homescreen of a console to make controller navigation easier, and does a pretty good job of it. Coming from the PS4 interface I'm sure you'll feel right at home–but you do still need a KB+mouse to get in Big Picture from a cold PC startup. This shouldn't be an issue as there are many cheap wireless keyboards with inbuilt trackpads on offer.

The second way is to use a Steam Link. This is a very handy little set-top box that will stream video input over the internet from a PC in the house–if you've ever heard of the PlayStation TV, this is similar. In order to use the Link you must have fast (at least 10mbps; check using speedtest.net) Ethernet on both ends (your PC and the Link) and a controller that connects over USB (either thru a USB cable or a USB wireless receiver. The Xbox receivers mentioned in a previous paragraph currently don't work with the Link but Valve says they are looking into it). It's very simple to setup–hook the Link to internet, plug in your controller and HDMI cable for TV connection, and pair it with your PC. Then you'll have total access to all your controller-supported PC games from the couch, with no loss of graphics.

Also, as a PC gamer, I have a word for you–there are some games that do play better with KB+M, especially shooters. Trust me, once you try something like Call of Duty with a mouse, you will never be able to go back to aiming with controller sticks. If you want this benefit but still find KB+M uncomfortable, there is the Steam Controller which features a more accurate trackpad in place of the right stick, and will work with most of the games that an Xbox controller works with.

One final word. If you are actually, legitimately serious about getting into PC gaming–please for the LOVE OF GOD do not buy a pre-built one. BUILD. YOUR. OWN. Seriously, if you are looking to surpass consoles and get value for money, I CANNOT stress this enough. Although it may seem daunting at first it's really little more than high-tech LEGOs–/r/BuildaPCforMe will furnish you with a parts list so you don't have to bother with that, and then the build will take two hours tops (even if you're inexperienced). There are tons of great videos on YouTube that will show you how–this is my personal fave, although I do advise you not to use any of those parts since that vid is considerably old.

If you have any questions feel free to reply to this and I can help you out.

u/grevenilvec75 · 1 pointr/BudgetAudiophile

You can get a bluetooth transmitter and a receiver that will allow you to use any headphones you want.

There are some that are both in a single package (don't buy that one though, its garbage. Doesnt support apt-x codec and doesnt say if its bluetooth 4.0, which means it probably isnt).

You'd have to buy two of them though, which can get pricey.

Another option is to add bluetooth to your PC using something like this and then using a bluetooth receiver like this that you plug your headphones into.

Note that I've never used any of these devices except for the kinivo usb dongle. It works pretty well, and I believe that the video on my phone synced up pretty well with the audio that was being sent to my PC. But, like I said, you should try before you buy if at all possible.

The lag in general will vary from person to person, but an aluminum case will definitely lower the range of both onboard wifi and bluetooth on the Pi.

I use a flirc case which is great for keeping the Pi cool, however lowers the range as previously stated. If you want though, you can use a USB bluetooth or wifi adapter to get rid of the lag from the aluminum case. The one I used that works is linked below!

Would this work for a bluetooth device? Would I be able to use PS3 contollers with this device as well, or would I have to mess with it too much?

u/jagreen3 · 1 pointr/PS4

Thanks. I’ll look into that. This is the one I got https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Q45EF4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_r7SIBbWYJHRHH

Do you think the steam link would work?

Whoa whoa whoa, hold on there. It's been a while, that build is stale. Let me sort you out a new one, alright?

That's a bit more on-target for price. Nicer PSU, too. And the 970s are in stock at last, joyous day! If you'd prefer a more, er, "refined" case, you might consider snagging the [Fractal Design Core 2300] (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/fractal-design-case-fdcacore2300bl) that's on sale at the moment and throwing in a pack of [Cougar fans] (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cougar-case-fan-cft12sb4), as that would be likely slightly more cooling at the same price, albeit with a different aesthetic.

Cheapest way to get a legitimate copy of Win8.1 is through a school or other educational facility, but if you're not a student, it's probably cheapest just to buy through Microsoft/buy a hard copy online. OSes can't really be found cheaply if you don't want the caveats that come with places like /r/microsoftsoftwareswap.

Ah, you like the free games feature? Always considered it a bit of a gimmick myself (granted, I don't really play AAAs, so I'm not the target audience), but if that's the case you'll want to make sure you get it through a retailer that's promising it (Newegg, for those 970s up there), as it's per retailer rather than per card, memory serving.

Last I recall you cannot transfer a Windows 8 installation from any OEM machine (laptops included), so you're outta luck there. If you do feel like playing with Linux, though, my favourite distro is Kubuntu.

Some motherboards come with integrated Bluetooth, but it's uncommon. You'll want to toss in a [USB] (http://www.amazon.com/Kinivo-BTD-400-Bluetooth-4-0-adapter/dp/B007Q45EF4/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1415178700&sr=1-1&keywords=bluetooth+4.0+adapter) [adapter] (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833320166) if you need it. Well, I suppose that in theory some wireless cards support Bluetooth connections, but most of those are for laptops, so you'd be looking at losing your M.2 slot (plus, you know, they're more expensive).

u/Richard_MF_Nixon · 1 pointr/pcgamingtechsupport

Find a cheap bluetooth dongle on Amazon and give it a go. Your built in one probably just went bad and something like this is the cheapest and easiest way to get around it.

With that dongle be sure is has a reasonable line-of-sight on your devices. It wouldn't pick up my PS4 controller when I had it installed on a rear USB port, but worked fine from the front, facing me.

Here's the two things I used in your situation:

http://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-Wireless-Sensor-Bar-Wii/dp/B004C4XNI6/

http://www.amazon.com/Kinivo-BTD-400-Bluetooth-4-0-adapter/dp/B007Q45EF4/

I love the Monoprice sensor bar, it's got a bright red led and black push button to easily tell you if it's on or not. The Bluetooth adapter is great as well, I've had no trouble with it.

Initially I tried to use my Wii U sensor bar (and an old Wii one I dug out) in the same way you did, but for some reason I just couldn't get them to work - at first I thought the bars were bad, or the Wii U has to be in a certain state to send power to the bar, but the wireless bar worked well enough that I never solved that problem.

If I want to get Bluetooth headphones to use with my PC, and I get an adapter like this:link is it a new audio device? Would it work at the same time as my speakers, or instead of them (and I would have to switch audio sources)? Does it transmit all system sounds, just like the output on my mobo? Thanks!

u/HMXJosh · 1 pointr/Rockband

PS4 currently uses standard ol' Bluetooth. If your PC doesn't have Bluetooth, you can use any generic BT adapter and it should work.

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/buildapc

I've had this one for 4 years with no problems: https://www.amazon.com/Kinivo-BTD-400-Bluetooth-4-0-USB/dp/B007Q45EF4/

u/duplissi · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Just grab a well reviewed one, and check the reviews to make sure other people have success using it with a dualshock 4.

But, you shouldn't have to worry too much, the vast majority of adapters should work without issue.

I have this adapter, and it was painless to use. I dont use it anymore because I have a WIFI+BT combo PCIE card now.

u/cycletowork · 1 pointr/buildapc

I've been playing with my Sony dual shock 4 controller on Steam picture for awhile now. I've only done wired. How do I go to wireless? Will this dongle work for what I want?

You should probably pick out your own mouse and keyboard. Also I gave you a lower tier video card since you said you won't be playing many games I gave you a Bluetooth adapter that had good reviews. If you want anything more added you can still ask.

u/BigBadBogie · 1 pointr/CarAV

I've been leaning towards getting one of these and hooking it up to one of these

Or one of these and one of these

My big question is if the second example's amp will even recognize the dongle. I would like to avoid having to run a usb power adapter to power the Bluetooth adapter from example 1.

There's plenty of amps out there with 3.5mm aux inputs, but even if I used an amp that didn't have them, I could just hardwire the 3.5mm output bluetooth adapter to the amp's rca inputs.

u/Link1017 · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

You could always buy a cheap bluetooth dongle.

It's, AFAIK, Nintendo's best attempt at making a 1:1 input with Link's sword.

u/ninjapenguin120 · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

That's totally cool, man. Sometimes, when I'm getting back from class, tired as hell, and fucking Nvidia STILL doesn't have drivers for my Nvidia Linux laptop, I'll just be like, fuck it! I'm playing Mario Kart! (And, yeah, I have a Super NES. U mad breh?) Plus, if your laptop has Bluetooth built in, I'm pretty sure you can use an XBOne controller on Windows out of the box. Otherwise, you can use this adapter.

u/LusT4DetH · 1 pointr/xbmc

USB Bluetooth Adapter + Amazon FireTV Remote and some XBMC keymapping. I've been using this for a couple months now and I love it. The BT remote is very snappy from a responsiveness standpoint, but does go through batteries faster. For me the speed/responsiveness of the remote is worth it.

EDIT: you don't need the USB adapter if your XBMC machine already has a BT interface.

u/impudentmortal · 1 pointr/headphones

This adapter from Monoprice was the cheapest I could find but I'm not sure how much shipping will add on.

This one from Amazon is almost as cheap and is available through Prime.

u/adashofmalarky · 1 pointr/pcgaming

So I purchased this pc blueooth usb adapter a while ago and have been trying to use it with my ps4 controller. It pairs easily and the pc/steam detects the controller automatically, but the range is VERY poor. Like it seems as though moving the controller farther than 1-2 feet from the adapter causes it to lose connection at times or just produce severe input lag.

My Windows 10 PC is connected via ethernet, and this behavior happens even if I put the adapter on the front USB ports rather than the rear. Is there anything I can do to improve range or do I need to buy a more powerful bluetooth adapter. Or do I buy one that actually goes inside the computer?

u/fabier · 0 pointsr/Surface

The built in chipset for bluetooth in the SP3 is really kind of second rate. I ended up springing for a bluetooth USB to enhance my bluetooth experience.

That being said, if you're just listening to things, then you need to make sure that the sound is routing through the right interface. Right click on the speaker icon in the task bar and click "Playback devices" and make sure that the right audio device is set as the default. I don't have it in front of me or I could give you some more specific info. But bluetooth gives you two interfaces by default, there is a Stereo output and a "headset" output -- you need the stereo one.

If you're trying to take advantage of high quality bluetooth calling (assuming your headset supports it), then you'll need a bluetooth dongle that can handle the advanced audio (Broadcom chipset). I got this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Q45EF4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

When you get it you will have to disable the internal bluetooth in device manager, otherwise you won't be able to get the dongle to work.

It was frustrating to me that MS would cheap out on the Bluetooth, but guess I can't really hold it against them since so few device manufactures put the newer tech into their machines this year.

u/BigTinz · 0 pointsr/pcgaming

I've had excellent luck with my Kinivo BTD-400 on windows 8.1

I used it on three different 8.1 PCs w/ DS4 to xinput mapper 1.2.2 without any problems. I have no experience with bluetooth in windows 7.

u/svirbt · 0 pointsr/hometheater

The easiest thing for you might be to get a Bluetooth adapter for your computer (if you don't have Bluetooth built into it already) and connect to the soundbar that way.

u/kidalive25 · -7 pointsr/pcgaming

I'd definitely suggest not paying 25 bucks for what is essentially just a basic Bluetooth adapter. Maybe pick up one of these like I did a while ago which does the exact same thing and is even smaller than what Microsoft is offering. There's a few in the 7 - 8 dollar range as well.

Works perfectly with Win10.

edit: my advice was not very good advice it seems.
