I would like to have dinner with /u/rarelyserious in space. We bought a quarter of a grassfed beef cow last summer and are still pulling meat out of the freezer. I can honestly say though that grassfed beef isn't my favorite. It feels great eait organic but the flavor is a lot different.

I love a rare petite filet. :)

Edit: no soup for you! Kitchen related dream. Some day.

America's Test Kitchen (very reliable imo) highly recommends both the Kitchenaid Pro 600 AND the Cuisinart 5.5 Qt Stand Mixer. The difference is that the Pro is $400 and the Cuisinart is $300, but both are wonderful; I'm not sure about attachments for the Cuisinart though, which is one reason I'd buy the Kitchenaid over the Cuisinart despite the cost difference.

If you aren't going to make a lot of super heavy duty foods like bread though though, I suggest a Kitchenaid Classic; it's $230 on Amazon; I remember getting mine at only $200 at the store. The Classic gets shaky and shuddery and grindy with heavy duty doughs and mixes, which always frightens me but egg whites and batters and such it can definitely handle, and you save money.

I haven't the resources to try out a ton of mixers, but I think the Kitchenaid mixer is one of the most reliable in the industry, especially amongst home cooks. They're sturdy, simple, and easy to use.

I'm also looking for one that won't break the bank. I found a KitchenAid K45SS Classic for $199 new (currently 26% off) or down to $140 used

(disclaimer: yes that's an affiliate link, I tried to make it as obvious as possible, remove the from the ? on if you feel I'm being spammy)

Those things are new (on sale) for under $200, with a warranty. Rich people eat out or have the maid use shit like this anyway.

This is the most expensive thing on my wishlist. I am finally following my dream of starting a little bakery business out of my home. I'm taking the Wilton decorating courses this fall.

Baking dozens of cookies and making old-fashioned fudge is much more probable when I have more than an old hand-mixer that smokes and smells like burning plastic when I use it to mix thick cookie dough.

Would I be okay with never having this item in my life? I can't really say, I mean baking is very possible without the mixer but... have you ever heard of a baker without a stand mixer?!

Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is a beautiful song!

I want a medium steak lightly seasoned so I can use A1 sauce. I just use steak as a catalyst to get A1 sauce to my mouth honestly.
/u/demokirby dinner for two? But no soup for you!
