Ah tower floor standing speakers. Bookshelf (misnomer) are still best on speaker stands so same footprint.
For smaller:
If you want the same footprint as a soundbar, Passive Soundbars AKA Speakerbar.
On wall speakers, 2 or 3 HTD Versa SB1.

Perfect. You can get a pair of Klipsch for that.
First of all don't use the logitech "subwoofer". The R1850DBs sounds very similar to the R1700DB, I actually prefer the later. You could also get a cheap amplifier and passive speakers such as the Klipsch R-41M
If you can get hold of the Micca RB42, get them.
Thank You so much for the extensive and informative reply! I think I have narrowed it down a bit. The Micca MB42X looks like a great option, but right before posting, I saw that the Klipsch R-41M went on sale. I want to add a subwoofer, and I was wondering if each of these speakers are compatible with a subwoofer? The Micca OriGain looks like a good amp but its power output is 50W per speaker, so maybe a Dayton Audio APA150 would be better? (I still don't know much about the power output and power handling, so correct me if I'm wrong). Also, if I add a subwoofer will that affect power output? (I'm thinking of getting the Dayton Audio SUB-1000.
Thanks again!
So your saying go with bookshelf speakers as surround, and go with Mounts to hang them

I don't think i need the full home theater setup with surround sound, but really just want some good sound for TV, Xbox, echo dot, and I'm interested in getting a record player. Would all of this go through the receiver? Is this the setup you have?

Wharfedale Diamond 210 vs Klipsch R-41M. I am looking to get into higher end quality audio and I already have a receiver (Denon AVR-2800, got for $50 at a flea market in mint condition) and a turntable, CD player, etc. Unfortunately I can't really spend more than $150 and both of these are right at that price point; I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on why I should buy which one.

I'm a Klipsch man myself Playing on a Pro-Ject Debut carbon with a 2M Blue stylus.
I own these but they are about $20 outside your budget with tax and shipping unless you have Prime. They sound pretty amazing but it will depend on the size of your room. Well worth the price

These are in your budget but I can't speak to them as I don't own them.
