I've been looking for a Vitamin C powder to regularly make DIY Vit C serums from. The Lotion Crafter one is a little on the pricy side, and I'm on a budget, so I was wondering if I could buy a normal ascorbic acid crystals powder from Amazon like this one, so long as it has no other ingredients other than ascorbic acid? Or should I only be looking at powders that specifically say L-ascorbic acid, like this one?
Thanks for the ideas! This is what I have, it's for use in skincare so I feel like it's safe but I'll start out small.

I originally bought serums with vitamin c in them but found you can by pharma grade vitamin c powder on amazon and mix it with moisuriser youself. a 1/2 pound container of pure vitamin c powder should last you years https://www.amazon.com/L-Ascorbic-Powder-Vitamin-Cosmetic-Formulations/dp/B00KKSHA8M/ref=sr_1_26_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1542267523&sr=8-26&keywords=ascorbic+acid
dang that kinda sucks. im a pretty lazy dude, so the less steps i have to do the better.
i know this isnt the sub for this question, but would ingestion of Vitamin C be as effective as topical application for skin lightening?
also would it be okay to buy pure L-Ascorbic Acid Powder and mix it into a bottle of lotion to get the desired concentration?
