The o-ring inside the cap is easily damaged by over tightening or the use of hot water (I did both). You can get replacement o-rings here or go with another type of 2-litre container of which there are thousands.
I purchased this on Amazon and have been very happy with it thus far.
just get a 2-liter widemouth glass bottle from amazon. it works great.
