Depends on your child's development I guess, but at 6 months my daughter was trying to pull herself up, and her favorite toy from then on until she was 18 months was an activity table that had lots of little doors and noise makers attached. She could pull herself up and play with the toys on the table while practicing her walking and balance.

Edit: this is the one we had, but they have more or less expensive options. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MRA7PVS/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_BL8MwbZAYPH98

Baby Einstein has always been magic for us. That and we had one of those standing tables with lots of noise makers :

That would entertain him for a long long time

We have the fisher price table u/sneakybunghole (quality name btw!) suggested and we also have the leap frog music table and she loves both of them! She hasn't lost interest, she's been using them since she started pulling up at 7mos and is almost 11mos now.

How much do you want to annoy the parents? :D

My daughter is 2.5 and she adored anything with lights and sound. This is something that could grow with her for at least a couple years but might drive her parents insane in the process, so if that's a plus for you, its a no brainer: https://www.amazon.com/LeapFrog-Groove-Musical-Activity-Center/dp/B00MRA7PVS

Your kid is literally my kid except he doesn't go to daycare. We just loop around the different rooms and stations all day. He has a stand and play music station that he totally loves, it stays in his playyard which is a decent amount of space for him to crawl and cruise around in with a billion toys and teethers to choose from, but most of the time he just stands at the piano thing and smacks the buttons. That is by far the thing that keeps him happy the longest.

You may also be interested in www.pathways.org it has all kinds of information about development and has tons od activity ideas based on age. Take it with a grain of salt, though... I was so gung ho about getting down on the floor with him and getting involved with his stacking toys.... he was more interested in climbing my shoulders, digging into the carpet, or chasing the dog's tail. They do have good information and ideas but... baby gonna baby.

This inspired my niece to take an interest in standing.

A table with numbers from 1 to 10, and the alphabet.

Activity Table

The kid will simply use it to prop themselves up, while learning to walk, and then to make noises. Then one day they will know the alphabet without even trying.
