If I'm worried the blade'll go too deep, I just park a thumb on the side, so just the tip can score cardboard or split tape.
Multitool: I'd recommend a Leatherman Surge.
Knife: Kershaw Cryo 1555TI. Get two, one to beat on, and another for everything else.
Flashlight: depends on size or lumens requirement. Here's some of my gear.
Lighter: I have a Zippo. You can even get butane inserts for them.
Pen: I have a Space Pen like hydraulx mentioned and would definitely recommend it but I think you should go with Sharpie Pens. More easily replaced and it's not a shame if you lose one. They also write extremely well.
Phone charger I can't say unless iphones do wireless charging like my Galaxy S6.
IT guy here...I have been carrying my Leatherman Surge for over a year now. It has micro philips and flat head, #2 phillips with matching flat head, easy access blades and great pliers. I started carrying that and my hiren's flash drive to every call at the University I work at. I have not needed another tool yet. Good price at amazon.
