You didn't mention a resolution or budget. I'm going to assume you're looking for a 1080p screen.

This here is a really good monitor: https://www.amazon.in/LG-24GM79G-B-Reduction-FreeSyncTM-Stabilizer/dp/B06XFGTGC4
It is a TN though, so color accuracy and viewing angles aren't great. But it is still a great panel.

Here's another TN panel: https://www.primeabgb.com/online-price-reviews-india/viewsonic-24-xg2402-gaming-tn-monitor/
Supposedly better color accuracy for a lower contrast ratio.

A VA panel: https://www.amazon.in/Samsung-23-5-Curved-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B01M1DEEYP
This has better color accuracy, but CFG70 is believed to have a purple ghosting issue, which is supposedly fixed in CFG73. Although, I haven't seen this model in any of the Indian e-commerce sites.
Also, this has a small curve so might not be something you want.

This could also be another option, the design might be better: https://www.vedantcomputers.com/lenovo-legion-y25f-10-24.5-inch-fhd-5ms-response-time
A few people have reported frame skipping issue with this model. So might want to look into that.

Is 1080p okay?

I have this LG 24GM79G-B 24-Inch Gaming Monitor... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XFGTGC4?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

144hz refresh and freesync also I believe it's on sale right now.

u/divijkm · 6 pointsr/IndianGaming

what is your gpu?

If it is amd, then get THIS (27", 3ms response time, va) or THIS (24", 1ms response time, tn) I would go for the 1st since size and display type are more important than response time, for low base response times. Both have free-sync

If you have nvidia......Too bad :(

Same price on Amazon.ca

u/veRGe1421 · 2 pointsr/GlobalOffensive

I've been using this one for a few years now, and it's treated me well. Might be able to get the same for cheaper now though, not sure.

Repost from the comments:

Sorry, it was a bit late as I was typing this. I've gone on PCPartpicker, and I've looked at a few options, just wondering what everyone here thought.

I currently have an RX480 8GB, will be building a new pc in the coming months and probably will be upgrading that to a GTX 1080/1180(or whatever the next gen is called).

The models I'm currently looking at are:

Asus MG248Q

LG 24GM79G-B

BenQ XL2411P

AOC G2460PF

I presently have one 1080p 60Hz 1ms refresh rate monitor that I will be keeping until a time comes when I can get a 3rd 144hz, but right now that's just not in the budget.

Of those 4 models, which would you pick?

With this build you could make use of 1080p 144Hz, 1440p 60Hz and if you want to future-proof your monitor even 1440p at 144Hz. Here is a list of monitors that would fit:

It's not on retail sale here anymore, Amazon is the only place u/Eyeballs9990 would be able to get it. It's cheaper if Eyeballs could get free shipping, otherwise it'll cost the same as the XG2401 at today's exchange rate.

it's only $20 more. This LG monitor is way better?

u/TheBlackRipper · 1 pointr/IndianGaming

Go with ryzen 5 1600 and a b350 mobo. You'll save more money. And then you'll be able to buy a 144hz monitor. Like this one.

LG 24" Class Full HD Gaming Monitor (24" Diagonal) 24GM79G-B Black/ 144Hz Refresh Rate /1ms Motion Blur Reduction/AMD FreeSyncTM/Dynamic Action Sync/Black Stabilizer Latest 2017 https://www.amazon.in/dp/B06XFGTGC4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_4irOBb50JY35J

It's the cheapest one on amazon so there's cheaper versions than this. Look on primeabgb.com and mdcomputers.in. Or vedant computers.

You can have a look on this...its a bit over the budget but I have heard good reviews about it.

u/buckethatbrother · 1 pointr/Monitors

Thanks! With those stats, is there anything else to look for in terms of comparing monitors?
As I see a 24 inch LG thats $280
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XFGTGC4/?ref=r4m_udw_co_c_dd

vs.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01A0ZRR50/ref=r4m_udw_co_ds_dd

that is $180 with a better response time?

This is considered an excellent monitor if you are going to play competitively : https://www.amazon.in/LG-24GM79G-B-Reduction-FreeSyncTM-Stabilizer/dp/B06XFGTGC4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1519774722&sr=8-1&keywords=lg+144hz

This is also very good but a little higher priced, comes with a VA panel which makes it miles better than TN panel for contrast ratio, colour and blacks: https://www.amazon.in/MSI-Optix-G24C-250nits-Display/dp/B072JZ66T3/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1519774819&sr=8-2&keywords=msi+144hz

(amazon prices could be higher than buying locally)

Lg 24GM79G-B is a good monitor to check out. Hits all the basic check points.

https://www.amazon.com/LG-24GM79G-B-24-Inch-Monitor-Reduction/dp/B06XFGTGC4

but the xl2411 is also good too.

There isn't any IPS 144hz monitors @ 1080p beside's
LG 34UC79G-B ultrawide

Any i also suggest you stay away from VA panels. While they will provide much better colors than TN panels, their response time is terrible which leads to ghosting and blurring.

u/chlamydia1 · 1 pointr/buildapc

I recently got the LG 24GM79G-B. It's supposed to have the best colour quality of any of the budget panels.

Here is the review for the last gen model: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/lg-24gm77-gaming-monitor,4082.html

I picked it up for $299 CAD. $249 in the US.
