I have a Life Sky thermos or mug. The one I have is meant for heat possibly. You might prefer their sport's water bottle, but I don't know. It has a double walled vacuum; I feel like that's important to people. It has one year warranty. You can use it with one hand.
I use it for hot drinks, and I have to take the lid off until it cools enough for the liquid to be safe to drink.
And hours later, because I wanted to wait, I still had to take off the lid to let it cool to a safe drinking temperature. I have left it overnight and maybe longer, and it was still warm.
I have no clue what what would happen if it was really hot to begin with (it was within the safe and preferred drinking temperatures)
If I filled up one with extremely hot water and the other with normal, you would not be able to feel the difference unless you opened it.
It does not leak, if it is locked. I can turn it upside down and play with it. It can also survive being in my freaking backpack without leaking, which is a feat.
Most thermos say maybe 12 hours hot and 24 hours cold (double the amount of hours cold.)
This has a metal outside, so you might have to get a fabric cover to prevent it getting too hot to touch. I don't know, because I have never left it out in the extreme heats (90-105F or 32-40.5C) of my state's summer.
It is fairly durable. Really what happens is the paint on the outside chips after a while, well, if you are clumsily and drop it several times like me.
I really have not tested it for cold liquids.
