It has eleven buttons that I use, and then my additional bars are alt+ and shift+, with PvP and pet abilities tied to ctrl+.

It works really well, and is vv easy to program. All of my abilities are right at my fingertips without having to think about it.

Logitech G700s. Battery lasts all day, no cords to mess around with, and no discernible lag, even playing very frenetic twitch games. It's a large, heavy mouse, though, so give it a pass if you're a small person. As a very tall, fat guy, I cannot speak to the experience a mere mortal might have with it. :P

Logitech g700s has this feature. Some wireless mice have a charging dock, where you can put your mouse to charge while you aren't on your pc. Razer Mamba, Wireless Sensei both have these features. These mice are a bit over your budget, but you could probably find a refurbished one for less price. If you plan to use the mouse for a few years, you should invest in a good one. If you want, you could get rechargeable batteries and put them in any wireless mouse for a simular rechargeable feeling.

It has better placement of buttons in my opinion, letting you grip it more comfortably. The biggest downside to me is the mouse wheel. The Logitech mice generally have much better mouse wheels that can switch between clicky and smooth modes (G600 doesn't have this). There's a white and a black version, the black one is cheaper for some reason.

Edit: Another very good option (I'd personally go with this one).

This is very similar to the mouse I use myself, the Logitech Performance MX, but upgraded with added gaming features. Has a bunch of buttons, the mouse wheel I was speaking of, and it both wired and wireless (charges while wired).

I currently own both the Corsair M90 (older version of the M95, mostly cosmetic differences) and the Performance MX, and I'm almost drooling over the G700s.

My favorite mouse, the Logitech G700s.

4 side buttons which I use for skills, three buttons to the left of the left click button which i use for weapon switching, alt fire, and hitting 5. Unlatch the scrollwheel and the speed scroll is awesome for spam firing certain weapons.

I also run a Logitech G13 alongside it, but that's just my preference. Plus you can customize both the mouse and the gamepad with the same software, which is nice.

This looks like a really well thought out build. Looks good. Some may advise against the CX line of PSU since it's a moderate level power supply which you're pairing with some premium parts. It will work fine though.

My only advise would be for your mouse and keyboard. Those aren't bad options, but for the Blackwidow, you're paying $90 mostly for Razer's "gaming" factor. There are a few more quality options for mechanical keyboards out there around the same price. Something like Das, Ducky, or CM. R/mechanicalkeyboards can give you more info if you're interested. More importantly though, is your mouse. For $65, you can get some really good mice. Based on your build, I'm assuming you are using it for gaming, so I would recommend the Logitech G400. I have an older model of this mouse (MX518) and it is fantastic. It's held up for years. If you're more interested in wireless, there are a few options. My wife uses the newer Logitech G700.

Personally I opted for the E2414H monitors, picked three of them up then mounted them on one of these. I like the ability to not only move them 360 but also up, down, and whatever position accommodates me at the time (standing, drawing, trying to stay awake...) The E model is better in almost every regard that matters to a medical student: less than half the price ($99 vs $229) and almost 1/4 power consumption (20W vs 74W) but also lighter and faster response time. The only downside (in my opinion) is the contrast ratio. Keep in mind though it is still the same resolution, 1920x1080. The U has the E beat hands down. But what matters most is up to you. This may help a bit.

As far as chairs go, you are going to spend a lot of time in it, don't sell yourself short. DXRacer and Herman Miller are my two personal favorites, but my grandfather always told me to never go cheap on the things you put between yourself and the earth like tires, shoes, and mattresses. I have included chairs to that list and thus far has never let me down. The DXRacer is kinda sporty but don't let that deter you, their solid black models look professional, if that is a look you desire. Herman Miller is hands down THE name in chairs, but you will pay for it. Work in one once though and you will find it very hard to go back. Plus both of those have at least 10 year warranties on everything and both companies have lived up to that for me personally, even for the smallest thing.

I have to second the mechanical keyboard as well. Again, once you use it you will never go back.

I would also recomend a gaming mouse like the G700s with all of the programmable functions, I use it at my study station and take it with when on the road. Programing shortcuts into the mouse allows faster, more efficient use of studying software or flashcards, in my experience.

EDIT:

I would also include some cheap white baords. They work just as well and I have them running floor to ceiling, leaving me with the ability to write wherever I want in my room.

oh man, i know the exact quest you're talking about, too. at least i think i do. the one with the ravagers? would you believe i did that quest eight times?

i'm leveling up my hunter main solo (hit 107 last night), and getting the lady caught up on her druid alongside a warrior alt i had back in the day (we're 86). heals+tank for LFG queues is instant and i like to think that we're being a little bit helpful too.

as for legion... man i dunno. every class is so simplified. during wrath i bought the old version of this so i could offload all my movement to my mouse hand (mouse wheel tilt for strafe is life altering) and free up the normal movement keys for ability bindings. this time around i don't think i've found a class with enough abilities to make it necessary.
warrior, as tank, i have devastate, revenge, thunder stomp, shield bash and shockwave. if i want to get froggy i have intercept, heroic leap and pummel.
as a mm hunter (don't get me started about survival) i have sidewinders, aimed shot, marked shot, my artifact ability and... disengage, i guess? feign death?
as a bm hunter it's not much better. cobra shot, multi shot, dire beasts, and my artifact spell. one weird thing is that for mm hunters, multi shot is a focus generator (until you replace it with sidewinders) but for bm hunters it's a focus dump. hunters are all over the place this xpac.
as a priest, i get to bubble, keep up purge the wicked, penance on cooldown and smite to fill. if things get dicey i can throw a shadow heal.

i haven't gotten a chance to check out the new DK and pally tank kits, or pally heals, but i'll get there soon enough. right now i'm just trying to get to a good point where i can pick posies and make potions. and bags! tailoring got shafted this xpac, with no new craftable bag. hexweave from WoD is still a HUGE moneymaker.

If you plan on gaming, I'd recommend getting a different mouse. Wireless non-gaming grade mice will introduce input lag and possibly acceleration.

You can get a G700s for less than the M505 and it's one of the best mice you can buy.

I've played around with older builds of the Deathadder. I haven't tried any Mionix mice.

If you're looking for a larger mouse that's suitable for gaming, you should consider the Logitech G700s (which is really cheap on Amazon right now, <$65). It feels sooo nice in hand...

Deathadder might be a good choice, too, but I just can't recommend Razer products anymore.

Edit - Nope, you can't change the LED color. It stays blue.

You're going to be hardpressed to find a good 40 dollar wireless mouse that is USB rechargable. Like the others said, Logitech mice are pretty much what you're looking for.

For me, it's just the right amount of buttons, and the fact that it has on-board memory (so your settings are saved on the MOUSE), has made it a staple for me. I'm actually considering buying a second one just in case this one fails at some point and it is no longer in stock...

I've tried a few with more buttons (like having a num pad on the thumb) but i found I was not able to hit them quickly and accurately 100% of the time.

All the buttons on the G700s are very distinguished.

IMHO a nice mouse is a must when it comes to a gaming PC. I ran an el cheapo microsoft mouse for years, and finally upgraded to a Logitech G700S and I can't be happier.

The overal crispness of the mouse is fantastic, and the ability to customize just about every feature cannot be understated.

Add to that, it's $65 price, and you've got a great mouse that will give you fantastic gaming performance for years.

I'm still using an el cheap microsoft keyboard though. My friends all have mech keyboards, and I have used them many times. Thus far none of them have stood out to me as "ohhh! this is way better!". They've been good, and high qaulity pieces, but nothing for me to go crazy over yet. I currently see it more as a "nerd-baller" upgrade I'll do in a few years when my current keyboard craps out.

So really, a $65 mouse will make your gaming experience great,and it's likely the one peripheral you'll need precision on the most. I also have some stuff for all the space games I play (Saitek X52 pro HOTAS), and if you're a simmer these types of things are not optional. Star Citizen, Elite: Dangerous, FSX, and DCS are not meant to be played on a keyboard. You can do it, but it just doesn't feel right after using a good peripheral made for a game like that.

But if you are into sim games you already knew that. So, again, mouse man. It's awesome.

If you're comfortable with MnK, I'd say stick with it. Currently, aiming with a stick can be tricky without a good controller and a lot of practice. Mouse is much more accessible. I'd try that for a bit and if it feels unfun, look into getting a flight stick.

You may want to find a mouse with a decent number of buttons to take some of the burden off of the keyboard hand. I use a Logitech G700 which for me has a nice number of easily accessible buttons without having too many to differentiate between them in the heat of battle. It also spreads them out between the index and thumb, something you don't see with many mice which tend to leave it at the left button, scroll wheel, and maybe an extra button. It can be wired or wireless, whenever you need. About 60 bucks.

You could also try a good throttle to give a little immersion. Just get one with a decent number of buttons as SC has many functions. I can't direct you to a good one here as I don't have a throttle.

Another possibility is a Nostromo style keypad. I've used one for years now back from when Belkin made their first iteration of it. Razer currently has the rights, which is unfortunate, but I am liking my new Orbweaver so far. The palm rest greatly helps with extended gameplay for us old dudes and the Orbweaver has decent adjustability to where it and the thumb assembly sits. Completely programmable for single buttons or macros, I've found them indispensable for long game sessions. Orbweaver is about 130 currently.

There's also a program for tablets and smartphones where you can assign game functions to a UI. I haven't looked into that yet, but it could be a pretty nice little addon if you already have some form of tablet device.

I have a G700s and love it! I don't know about the G700 but I believe the 700s is just an updated version of the G700. It's a great mouse with decent customization software from Logitech and feels great in your hand. The buttons don't at all feel mushy and I much prefer the feel of it to my friend's Deathadder.

Disclaimer: Avoid this mouse if you have tiny hands.

For the mouse, honestly, I would suggest the Logitech G700s. Just leave the USB plugged in and it's just another wired mouse. 8 programmable buttons, and an adjustable scroll wheel as well!

Ah, then you and I are in the same boat. I'd recommend something with a slim profile (because I find it awkward to use a large mouse with a fingertip grip). Other than that, I've been mostly looking at getting a wired mouse, but if you really need wireless, you might want to submit a post to /r/MouseReview. They tend to have some good suggestions and can figure out better than I can which mouse might be best for you.

EDIT to your EDIT:

In that case, consider looking at ergonomic mice. They are generally bigger, and can give you a palm grip without sacrificing buttons. This here might do the trick. It's good, big, and can be used wired or wireless.

I was skeptical of wireless for gaming, but besides the mouse dying now and then, I notice no difference to when I used wired.

Here are some recomendations:

Razer Deathadder (for FPS) - THe DeathAdder is the staple for a lot of FPS gamers. Simple, smooth, responsive, and comfortable. Personally I love the feel of this mouse in my hand and it is quality built.

Logitech G700s (FPS/MMO)- The G700s is one of the best rechargible gaming mice with long lasting battery so you don't have to worry about it dying mid game. Also with over 13 programmable buttons on the mouse it's great for MMO and MOBA games! Personally I've only used this mouse a limited amount so I can't say just how long the battery lasts but it is REALLY comfortable in the hand and has great response.

Logitech Proteus - (FPS/MMO) - Great customizable mouse with variable weights and adjustable palm rest. 11 customizable buttons. Perssonally I haven't used this mouse but heard good things about it.

Steelseries Sensi (FPS) - I can't praise this thing enough. Smooth, comfy, basic and beautiful! Personally I have this mouse personally and love it. it's not fancy but boy does it just work!

I've heard good things about both of those, and they both seemed comfortable when I tried them, but I haven't used either one long enough to make a ruling.

Personally, I love my G700s. If you're worried about wired vs. wireless performance, the G700s can use both, and is rechargeable.

Re: HOTAS- I've been considering one for a while (and the "OOOO SHINY" part of me just wants a new toy to play with), but I have a great mouse(well, I have the old G700, but this is the newer version) with 4 thumb buttons, and I use two of those to control pitch up/pitch down, which makes maneuvering WAY easier. If you have a good gaming mouse, you can dogfight really well and save yourself the expense of a HOTAS.

I was looking for the same thing and I love the mouse I decided on a few years ago:

I love it. 4 easy buttons on the side near the thumb. 3 easy to feel buttons just next to the left mouse. That's 7 "extra" buttons but the way they're situated it feels as easy as 3 or 4 because of awesome placement. The mouse is also wired OR wireless. Rechargeable. I love it.

It totally changes how I play every single game, especially games that use wasd for movement. You can now do 7 extra things without ever losing mobility. And I'm not even talking about shooters, I'm talking every game where you have to leave wasd to hit "e" to "use" or "m" for "map". You don't realize how shitty it is until you have a solution haha.

There are tons of features I didn't even mention. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot them my way. I'm tempted to buy a second one just because I love it so much.

I was in somewhat the same boat as you - I wanted a new mouse, but was a little averse to using the popular 12 button layout, thought it was a bit overkill for how I like to play. I recently purchased a Logitech G700s and have been extremely happy with it. 4 buttons to the side, 3 more buttons on top next to your index finger. If you use shift and/or control modifiers, that's functionally 21 buttons from 7, so I cut down on fat fingering spells, which was a fear of mine when looking at the 12 button mice and my largish hands.

Logitech makes really good, stylish mice. I recommend the wireless g700. It has enough buttons to be useful, but not cumbersome, and it has easily accessible dpi toggles. Plus, it comes with software that let's you configure 3 or so presets for different types of games and you can switch between them really easily (there's a button you can press with your index finger for it).

Logitech mice are known to last years and years. The g700 is only 50 bucks and, since it's wireless, you don't have to worry about keeping the cable in good condition. If you're worried about lag, don't be; I mainly play fps games 5-10ft from the dongle on my couch and I've never had any trouble.

I absolutely would, as long as you're on PC. I was using it on Mac, and was having a lot of issues with the OSX smoothing interfering with the Logitech software settings. Now that I'm on the good ship Studio, it's total smooth sailing. Great customization, really sturdy with a nice weight that I prefer.

If you're about to buy one though, I'd also consider the G700 as a refurb is the same price as the G602, but the button positions make a bit more sense (on the 602, the G4 and G7 buttons are in an awkward place that doesn't always make them easy to hit.)

Windows 10 has rarely given me problems. With a fresh install, it's easy as pie. Upgrading from 8 required some small updates and whatnot but after a week of lazily updating things as they came, my transition was complete. Ymmv though.

You might want to check out the Logitech G700s or MX Master. I think they're pretty friendly for big hands. Ideally if you have stores nearby you can go try different ones and see how they feel.

There are other mice that are more suitable for gaming in terms of response time or amount of buttons, but if comfort is your number one concern these might be the best fit (haha). Who knows though. There are so many mice out there now that I'm sure tons of them fit for you. Again, getting a chance to try different ones out would be quite helpful. Otherwise it's mostly trial and error, or a trip to youtube to see how other big hand people like different mice.

Logitech G700s is my daily driver.

Pros: 7 easily accessible programmable macro keys, then 1 more that's harder to get to since it's under your palm. Clicking the scroll wheel can also be a macro if the given game doesn't use it. Very comfortable. Wireless, which you asked for and I too absolutely cannot live without. Great sensor. Scroll wheel can do that infinity scroll thing.

Cons: More than the $20-30 you mentioned. Battery life is about 8-10 hours. If you charge it every night you'll be OK, but if you forget you might find yourself switching to the very stiff cable mid game session, which bugs me. You can buy better batteries though.

Well, it depends. What budget do you have? Do you want a mouse that's more flashy or subtle? Or one with programmable buttons?

The Logitech G100S is a decent mouse that's relatively subtle and also relatively cheap.

If you have plenty of money to spend, I'd look at the Logitech G700S. It's basically an upgrade from the G100S, same mouse, but more ergonomical + reprogrammable keys and it can be wireless or wired. (I've been using this one for just over a year now, can personally vouch for this)

The G500S I feel is a good comprimise between the two, however I haven't owned one so I can't really vouch for it but it's fairly popular.

I can't really speak for other brands as I've only ever used Logitech, but you can refer to this for cheap, decent gaming mice. The brands are generally very reliable as well (Although I'd stay away from Razer if I were you, they seem to break often but send it back and you'll get a replacement for free)

The three things that helped me out most were a good frame-rate, a good mouse with the correct settings and most of all lots of practice.

The biggest "seat of the pants" (thing you can feel) difference was when I upgraded from a regular 5 button dell mouse to a "gaming" mouse that had high DPI and poll rates (G700s). Here's a short write-up I did a while back going over some of the settings I use and why (use RAW input settings for example).

With higher DPI and polling rates, my mouse movements translated to very smooth and fluid tracking on the screen. I was able to smoothly track things no matter what speed I was moving the mouse around. It was most noticeable when I would move forward and "scan" the horizon slowly for things. There was no more "stuttering" (for a lack of a better term). Everything was liquid smooth

I main medic and demo so I can really only speak to those weapons. Once I was able to track smoothly, I started learning how to "lead" my targets with projectile weapons like the grenade launcher, sticky launcher, and crusader's crossbow. When using weapons like the grenade launcher, you have to lead and aim a bit above them. With plenty of practice I started to hit more and more air-shots with my grenade launcher and long-range shots with the crusader's crossbow shots.

Another couple of things that may help aim is a good HUD and your weapon POV settings. A hud will allow you to add/remove/change various on-screen elements. HERE is a direct download to the one I currently use including what it looks like. Your weapon POV (in console: weapon_fov "xx" - I use a value of 120) allows me to see more of my screen and therefore have more information about what's going on around me.

I currently use a Logitech G502 Proteus.

Well I have a solution for you. Due to the way I've used my PC for the past 7 years, I absolutely needed a wireless mouse (HTPC setup). I started off with the G7, which had the hot-swappable battery setup. Unfortunately, it had a lot of the other issues. Moved on to the Razer Mamba, what an inconvenient piece of shit that was. Now I have the Logitech G700.

The Logitech G700 uses a standard microUSB charger, so the same charger that will charge your phone will charge the mouse. On top of that, it uses a standard AA Enloop 2500 MaH battery, so you can buy extra ones and charge them and swap them out on the fly.

Wanted to switch from a 60% to a TKL, decided to go with a black colored setup since I didn't feel like trying to find a good white colored gaming mouse since I love the G700(s)'s layout and the way it fits my hand.
Luckily KBDFans seems to have quite a few Ninja from that GB so I didn't have to give up the SA profile or wait for another GB, it does mean I'm still stuck with wonky early Maxkey legends though (oh well not a big deal for me). Went with a wireless numpad because I hardly ever use them.

I like my Logitech G700s, but it was only $60 when I got mine. I'd bet you can get a decent price around Black Friday.

It's comfortable (for right handed), survives Diablo really well, has buttons easily mapped to other skills (and I even have the top ones mapped to things like pinging the map or verbal emotes). But the battery life is TERRIBLE, truly truly amazingly bad. Full charge is about 5 hours of use. So I have mine plugged in all the time and use it like a corded mouse.

Small, you say? I must assume you don't mean a TKL, because only mouth-breathing hipsters would forgo the crucial keypad (especially for coding!). I legitimately appreciate my Ryos MK Pro (not small) for gaming at home, but for the workplace I recommend the CODE keyboard. Clean, simple, no-nonsense. About as small as it gets for 104 keys.

I can't recommend trackballs enough. Seriously. It'll feel weird for the first day or two. Hold out for a week. You'll get used to it. The Logitech M570 is the obvious workhorse (I bought 4 of them in the past couple years), but the MX Ergo is definitely more premium (I'm using it right now, and it feels fucking amazing). Honestly, I'd just sort of feel silly with an M570 on my desk next to a CODE. Ok, so I'm a bit image-obsessed.

If you really must use a mouse, Logitech still makes them best. At home, for clicky games like D3 or LoL, I own the lovely and nonpareil G700s - it's definitely a gaming mouse, but... it's kind of like John Wick. Dressed like a pro, but it'll shoot you in the chest and the face. But from a distance no one will be able to tell - I wouldn't be embarrassed to use it at work. Apparently though, it was discontinued and sells on Amazon for $276.68 (plus $5.04 shipping, wtf) - it's good, but not that good. If you can find it under $100, it's worth it.

Other options include the M720 Triathlon or the MX Master 2S - but I haven't personally used these, so I can't really vouch for these devices specifically, I can only shill for Logitech as a brand (but Wirecutter agrees!) :p

No but really, finding an ergo mouse that's got at least forward/back buttons and doesn't look like a spaceship (not that there's anything wrong with that: The Roccat Kova AIMO looks fucking sick) is difficult, to put it mildly.

So just use the Ergo.

Currently I'm using a CM Inferno and really like it. It's got lots of buttons, macros and feels pretty lightweight. What you might be interested in is that it's got an on the fly DPI adjustment, so you can adjust sensitivity as you're playing.

I've also been looking into the Logitech G700 which is heavier since it's wireless and has similar features to the Inferno.
