Basic Synopsis:

The novel takes place after the events of Revenge of the Sith (the third movie in Chronological order). The book will bridge the gap between ROTS and ANH. It specifically tells the story of Sidious and the completion of his plan to rule the galaxy through the First Galactic Empire. Darth Vader also embarks on his first mission as a new Sith Lord.

The story specifically takes place 14 years before the events of A New Hope.

Star Wars: Rise of the Empire is a collection of two novels and three short stories. It has Tarkin and New Dawn in it. Both are super great, in my opinion. I got it for Reddit Secret Santa and I love it.

Lords of the Sith was also a pretty fun book. Another I got from Secret Santa.
