We just sold our truck yesterday and now have no car. We walked to Costco today, and used a little wagon-looking thing to get our groceries home. (I would suggest just taking the bus or uber, but for regular shopping that would get expensive.) I live downtown too, but in the Commodore Perry, so I can't give advise on LaSalle.
However, groceries aren't too bad if you have a car. The Kroger in Oregon isn't too far, and neither if the one on Monroe by Best Buy (though it is small and cramped). I HIGHLY recommend getting a collapsible wagon though. We bought one the same week we moved in and it's been incredibly valuable for us, especially when we get heavy items like cat litter or pop.
The biggest advice I can give though is to explore. We moved in at the start of last summer and I spent almost all of my free time just walking around. Downtown isn't that large and I never had a problem with anyone being creepy. I played Pokemon Go a lot, but I also spent quite a bit of time by the water just drawing. There are a lot of interesting things in the buildings and architecture downtown that I feel a lot of people don't care about/notice.
Also! If you're not already aware, there is a pretty sweet art supply store downtown called the Art Supply Depo. It's over by Home Slice pizza. There is also Handmade Toledo in uptown and they offer some cool Toledo art and swag, but also a ton of art classes. I can't recommend both enough!

We are going camping with our 1 year old for Memorial Day weekend camping this year so I'll be following this for other ideas! We are going with my coworker and all their friends (and their friend's friends) so there will be a huge group with us. But, here are the things that we plan on bringing!
We are also bringing a stroller because we are going to a festival in a nearby town. Otherwise, I wouldn't bring it.

I generally use promotions so I can add the $5 saved onto the tip. I rarely tip lower than 15% unless the shopper is a *doozy and they still get 10% despite a lower rating.
*A doozy is someone simply refunding everything and refusing to chat about the substitutions I always list and the comments asking them to please chat with me about the items.
I usually have to go outside anyways since our apt complex gate is temperamental and I often have to use my gate key to let them in. Usually I ask if they want me to carry something. They're always so good about it and refuse my help since they see can me walking with my crazy hip replacement leg that still limps. :-)

I'm using one of these to haul my stuff in and out. I'm gonna have to move my computer quite a few times times since I'm getting in on Monday and leaving Monday after(up to the hotel room, down to the byoc, back up to the hotel room during tear down and then out to the car Monday morning). That walk would get old real fast if I had to carry it each time. I especially like it because the inside is entirely canvas and padded on the bottom. It was a little expensive but worth it. I'll use it for beach/camping trips the rest of the year.
Foldable wagon could work. Most big box stores have them now. Bigger wheels for non pavement.

I would double check and make sure, but I think my buddy and I only had one camping pass. Basically, it's for your parking your car.
If you're forrest camping, I'd suggest getting one of these, or something like it.
Edit: As per their website: "Forest Camping Parking: Patrons with a Forest Camping pass will be able to park one car per camping pass in a nearby lot," and the same goes for Car Camping, etc.

If you're concerned about how deep it is, maybe something like this?
Weighs twice as much and I'm not sure how the carry capacity compares (weight-wise it's the same), but it's another option to consider.
If I wanna pack light I use this. I hang my chair and small cooler from a carabiner.
Most matches I put everything in this. Having a cart is REALLY nice, especially at a longer match.
But don't end up carrying a range bag and all your shit. The less work you have to do that isn't shooting related, the better you will shoot.
We got a wagon from Amazon and it works great. Our lab puppy is 10 weeks and 15 lbs so I can’t carry him, but he loves his wagon.

I bought this one and used it to hike in less than a mile over rough terrain and it worked well. I think I overloaded its weight capacity with firewood and one of the wheel mounts bent SLIGHTLY. Still works perfectly though, and I can’t fault it because I overloaded it.
I’d recommend.
I do wish I spent a little more and got this one. We saw it at the beach and it seems even better.
