I've had similar issues and at about the same age, At age 3+ it starts to get um kind of difficult having an extra person in bed with you.
We ended up having them get their kiddie folding couch/bed thingy like this and when they'd come into the room to sleep they'd be asked to go back and grab their couch & pillow/blanket from their room (or it was already in there) and they'd sleep on that. it doesn't help if you were hoping to get some "alone time" but at least youre not cramming another body into your bed making you sweaty and having feet in your back while fighting to keep yourself from falling to the floor.
When she's with me, my 6 year old daughter still sneaks in sometimes for snuggles after official bedtime for snuggles, but at this point she gets 10 mins then I walk her back to bed and give her a kiss goodnight.
