You could try Marvel Action: Spider-Man published by IDW. It features Miles with Peter and Gwen as teenagers. I haven’t read much of them, but it seems as good a place as any to start. Only problem is that he might prefer Peter of Gwen to Miles.
My 4 year old loves Marvel Action Spiderman. It's really for kids a drop older but I think it's fine with Dad.
