I had a severe case of plantar fasciitis a number of years ago. Here is what I did to get rid of it:

1. Went to therapy with a sports doctor 2x week. Treatment involved Graston Technique, massage & ultrasound
   
2. Slept with the Strassburg Sock
   
3. Ice, stretch and massage with this spiky ball on non-treatment days.
   
4. Rolling my calves on a foam roller
   
5. Got custom orthodics
   
6. Only wore flat shoes that have arch support, like Vionic or Abeo
   
7. Did not run, jump or do any impact exercises until it was cleared up

   It took me about a year to fully heel (that's how bad it was!) but it has been at least 5 years since it heeled and it hasn't come back. I have no issues running or doing inclines now.
