This is another nice option.. Cheaper, made by masterlock. And, as a keyholder, i can see some evil possibilities for it... Ever do any Geocaching? You could lock it somewhere hidden, and give them the coord's to go out and find their keys. Maybe even make them solve puzzles or do tasks to get the combo and coords.

I attach my key to my car. I have one of these and I attach it to the random loop in my car's underbody.

On my car, the loop is much less obvious and much more hidden behind my bumper, so the little lock box isn't visible unless you are crouched down and looking under the car for it. And even then, you either need the combination or a pair of high strength cutters, which I am hoping someone would notice you wielding at the underbody of a car.

The box isn't very big, but it nicely holds my car key.

Good tip about the GPS.

I use something like one of these two things to keep an extra house key, emergency cash, my insurance info and expired license (as ID only of course) in the car. Hook it up to something hard to dismantle inside the car. way easy to just put some small locking box in there. costs under $25 and keeps that stuff safe from carwash and valet staff too.
