M4s:

Krytac, ICS, VFC (Avalons are the newest, with very nice internals), Classic Army.

AKs:

LCT, E&L, CYMA (Go with CM040, CM045, or CM048 if you go with CYMA), Real Sword (If you can find one. Best AKs available. I've heard LCT rivals them though)

Others:

ASG CZ Scorpion Evo, ASG CZ 805 Bren, ICS L85, Real Sword Type 97 (Again, good luck finding one, but they're legit. Could try emailing Real Sword directly)

Personally, I own a Krytac Trident MK2 CRB, ASG CZ 805 Bren, and CYMA CM040D. Would recommend any of them.

For boots, I use Merrel Moab Mids.

For goggles, I like Pyramex I-force. Tough, comfortable, fog resistant, comes with goggles and glasses straps. With them, I use a One Tigris mask, random hat, and Howard Leight Impact Sports

I totally recommend Merrell boots. I have a pair similar to these that I've had for about five years now. They have been through two archaeology field schools, over a hand full of geology field schools, and countless hikes. I'm on the west coast as well and have worn them through different weather conditions. They are still in amazing shape.

I want go trekking in Nepal in March 2017, do I need waterproof boots? I already have those Boots but they're not waterproof.
And I'm not sure if I should go with a guide or if I should find other people to trek with.
