This is the setup that my group uses for playing D&D. We don't have a whole lot of money to sink into the game, so we tried to get what we could out of things we already had after buying the books, dice, and DM screen. We screwed a magnetic dry erase board to the wall and used some 1 inch magnets for player markers, and decided to throw beer bottle caps on them for player/monster indicators, as they were the perfect size. The large Jaeger cap is perfect for epic boss monsters, and Bud Light is great as cannon fodder.

The projector making the battle map is one I ordered off of Amazon, and while it works fairly well for our needs, it's not without its own issues, such as inconsistently sized maps and file size/resolution restrictions. And the lighting sometimes makes it a little difficult to see certain things. But we make do.

And the hat is a concentration cap for our Arcane Trickster/Wizard. It's just a fair prize I had lying around. Doesn't get much better than that. Also pictured is one of my players' Deck of Minor Things that we use to much fun and shenanegannery.

But we play in a barn, and it's a little drafty during the Winter, so we had to move our setup into this cramped little room. Usually we're in a slightly bigger room where we've actually got room to move around, but so far the smaller room has actually been a good thing. Easier to warm up with body heat.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the tablecloth is actually a large plastic liner that we cut to size and clamped down. With the help of some paper towels, a little rubbing alcohol, and dry erase markers, it turns the entire table into a dry erase board. We use it to keep track of HP, spell slots, or random drawings anyone feels like making during downtime/ whisper time.
