Terrible. Just terrible. Any book that includes the words "rich," "wealthy," millionaire," "quick," (and newest addition) "simple," etc. aren't worth the paper they're printed on. The exception being Greenblatt's "You Can Be a Stock Market Genius," of course.

Good luck
Tony Robbins just came out with a beast of a book like 2-3 days ago that tackles exactly this question. It is called Money. Master the Game. I think it would absolutely be worth your time to read it. Essentially, it is about maximizing your investments to create the best retirement possible for yourself. Also, it has some really great interviews and common pitfalls to avoid.
MONEY Master the Game: 7 Simple Steps to Financial Freedom I'm a couple chapters in. If you're not into the teaching, you'll at least like the insight from some of the most legit financial gurus of our time.
Probably not something to answer all the questions, but after I started reading Tony Robbins' newest book my view towards active investing in stocks changed dramatically. It may be worth your time.
I like to keep my suggestion short. I only suggest relevant books.
Here are two books that helped me in finance. They are both from Tony Robbins, and they both provide lots of value.
