I've had mine in the field for a few months. Great battery life, takes either picture or 10 sec videos. Can set the timer to take those every 1, 5, or 10 minutes. Great pics and video in night or day. Can't go wrong for less than $60.

Place a battery powered Game Camera at the back of the cubby, set into motion activated mode. It will take a picture when there is motion, and it should catch your mat thief directly in the act. Of course, there is a risk that the camera will be taken, but vengence always has its price.
