I have both, but stopped using the claws when I bought a decent set of of insulated gloves. They have a lot more uses than the claws. Just dive in & pull the pig apart.

Those are just for handling meat. I also have some welders gloves for handling hot metal objects. I use them with the charcoal chimney or when I have a metal pan in the grill/smoker than I need to handle.
They have hot food specific gloves. You'll look marginally less creepy than your "I work with chemicals" PPE

Exactly what I was thinking. I have a pair of these I use while canning. I use them to grab jars and lids right out of boiling water. They're good in there for quite a while (10 to 15 seconds) before they start to even feel warm.
You still have qute a bit of dexterity with them, you may not even have to take the ball of cheese out of the water while needing it.
