I want to know what your opinion is on the color of these watches. Ive spend literally hours studying watches and Ive narrowed it down to the orient, but I cant decide on which colour face I should buy. I have been leaning towards buying either tan (ER2A005Y) or blue.

It sounds like your shop is ripping you off. A lot.
A decent watch, even if it's quartz, can easily last 3-5 years without any issues. A decent leather band should be able to last around half a decade to a decade if it's of decent quality.
Even the 15 dollar bands on Amazon are probably of a significantly better quality. Or, spend a bit extra and get something nice from Holbens and it'll probably last you a decade.
