basically indestructible, and when sealed properly they are water and air tight, so they float (when closed). i have a pile of them, assorted sizes (50 cal, fat 50 cal (SAW), 30 cal, 81mm artillery shell cans, etc. i have ordered the linked set from that supplier, and they were in perfect condition. i use them for toolboxes, but should work for a tackle box too.
edit this is probably too bulky based on the requirements you listed in another comment... apologies if so. maybe you should put those requirements in the post description as well.
