I saw someone bought one of those medicine pacifiers ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FNV6352/ref=ox_sc_act_title_7?smid=A2UILHLLDUMCAM&psc=1 ) and put breastmilk into it and those froze it. I plan to make some of these for my babe for a cool treat this summer.

Gripe water. Really helps calm baby when he has an upset stomach. I've been told to combine it with gas drops, too, though I haven't gotten those yet.

Munchkin Medicator A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. We had thrush and I had to give LO sticky medicine 4x a day. With the syringe and the droppers it took about half an hour to give him his dose, along with screaming, crying, smacking, and a few times choking. Yellow sticky liquid was everywhere, no clue how much he actually took, and baby was amped up and unhappy. It sucked. I orderd these and it was a freaking miracle. I measured his dose, put it in his mouth, and within 30 seconds he had happily drained it, no mess, no crying, no choking. Not a fluke, either, he used them 4x a day for a week with the same results every time. Possibly the cheapest baby item I have bought, also the most valuable.

Some way to play lullabye music. His crib has a mobile that plays some classical music (currently used for soothing while we rock him, because lol at the thought of him sleeping in his crib.) I also use spotify to play a playlist I've made of music by the band Rockabye Baby. I like it because I can enjoy my music and sing along with songs I actually like instead of singing Rockabye Baby the song a million times. They cover all kinds of stuff, the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Iron Maiden, the Cure, Black Sabbath, Green Day, No Doubt, Blink 182, Adele, and so on. You can probably find something you will both enjoy.

Definitely extra sheets. I had two for the pack'n'play bassinet. I frantically sent my mom out to buy more after doing a million loads of laundry because in the early days blowouts happened a lot. Now I don't really need them, but I'm okay with having extra, I can use them to keep the playard cleanas he gets older and makes playing messes.

Baby bathtub. I was going to do the sink amd then a laundry basket. That idea died quickly. I found a secondhand bathtub that has a seat inside and it's up on a stand, so it keeps baby up at a reasonable height, and it doesn't take as much water as filling the whole adult bathtub. The sink was functional, but baby wasn't happy about it and would get cold super fast. Now he loves his baths.
