D's the same way- he takes medicine much easier when he's calm. When he isn't, I have to use one of these to get the medicine down him. He'll suck on it like a pacifier with super reproachful eyes, but it's easier than a syringe when he's thrashing around.

Have you tried the Medicator Paci? They automatically suck on it and the medicine just goes right on down. Works for our LO if he needs to take Tylenol, although I'm sure this tastes worse!
