Supplement with magnesium citrate, I use Natural Calm. It does wonders for muscle tension and is a potentiator.
Just as a sidenote, this stuff is the best way I've found to fix magnesium levels, and very cheap in this form. Dissolves in water like alka-seltzer and less than a quarter a dose.

Yeah I got a powder form reccomended for Keto dieters so I don’t know if it has a more powerful effect than whatever you are taking. But with over 2 teaspoons of that (~ 300mg) it gets bad. But without the pain that having digestion cramps or stomach flu brings.
i only supplement magnesium in the form of calm powder https://www.amazon.com/Natural-Vitality-Calm-Orange-Ounce/dp/B0012619B0
(plus a daily multi vitamin).
I eat plenty of spinach, avocado (or guac in the winter), Brussels sprouts, broccoli, etc which covers the need for potassium supplement.
Sodium is easy to come by, just salt your food/broth.
powerade zero also helps, although it has very low daily values.
