You have to make a Japan Amazon account, but it's basically the same steps as before. It even will charge you USD so no charges on a card if it doesn't support foreign purchases.
Don't know why but right now it's taking 500 yen off at checkout so it's ~$76 for the Splatoon or Mario ones and $146 for both.
The Japanese version of the Splatoon joycons were reversed. You could buy two sets, keep the green set and sell the pink set. I'm sure selling a matching pink set would be easy.

You can get them imported from Japan or Europe. New user, so I don't know exactly what the other user bought, but both have Prime shipping, so I would assume it would work the same way as if you were buying anything else
They don't make pink sets that are solid color. You'd need to buy two sets of Joycons.

Otherwise you could buy a shell on eBay and try to replace it yourself. Or keep an eye out for used ones, but that combination used are rare. There's also r/joyconswap
You can pre-order the pink/green set from Amazon Japan if you really want them. It's what I did.

Including the ones which come with the switch, it will mean unless you're getting the Splatoon 2 switch bundle which comes with left neon green and right neon pink, you will end up with three pairs of joycons. Then you might as well start collecting joycons and get Neon Red and Blue (both L and R), the Grey ones, the Neon Yellow ones, the Odyssey Red ones, etc etc... :D
On the plus side, you'd be set for party games, and you can swap between your default switch colours, or all pink or all green whenever you like. :D

They cost $92, they’re imported from Japan, they aren’t pink enough (the pink colour isn’t very saturated, unlike the neon red and blue Joy-Cons), and most importantly, only one of the two Joy-Cons is pink. If I want two pink Joy-Cons, I’d have to shell out $184 for two pairs.
Well with Nintendo being Nintendo, the reverse pair is EU/Japan Exclusive. However, you can buy the Japanese import here for an extra $12
