This set up is $230 and would purge your oil SO MUCH better than what you are doing now. Get a nice heating pad like this one to go under it. Keep your oil under 100 degrees, let it go for a long time at full vac, flip your patty every now and then.

Razing your oil that way won't get all the solvent out, and it kills your flavor.

This one is on Amazon for $70 (down from $130): https://www.amazon.com/Secura-9100MC-Portable-Induction-Countertop/dp/B00GMCAM2G/

I have this one: https://www.amazon.com/NuWave-Precision-Induction-Cooktop-Watts/dp/B00DP6BJE2 which is 1300 Watts (vs the 1800) and use it with my cast iron skillet to sear or fry things on the back patio.

I had a butane stovetop I used for a couple years, but it works for shit when it's cold and windy. No such problems with the induction burner.

There are a few $50 1800 watt things on amazon too, now that I look.

I pasteurize my straw every time and have been able to get 3 flushes before any signs of contams arise.

I stuff as much cut up straw as I can in my tiny 8qt PC, fill it up about half way with water, then put the PC on one of those NuWave induction cooktops to control the temp. Then I put the lid on my PC without locking it and throw a temp reader in it. Then I get the water to 160 degrees and keep it at that temp for an hour. Then I'll wait for it to cool and take the straw out and drain it in a pillow case for about 12-16 hours.

Then I'll mix my straw with my spawn!

I wonder if you can turn off the gas for the summer. It'd be cheaper to buy one of those induction stovetop things.
